Dining out with loved ones should always be a memorable experience. Going out to eat has become a more common thing over the years. It is much easier to go out and grab a bite rather than cooking a homemade meal. Most people just do not have time for it anymore; however, it defeats the purpose when food is having to be remade, or you simply just cannot find your server. Dining at Bubba’s 33 on Buford Drive for the first time was a terrible experience, and we will not be returning. When you go to a sit down restaurant, you expect to have a server, and you expect them to check on you in a timely manner. If it takes 30 minutes to take our order, why not just defrost some meat at home? From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we had only seen our server’s face maybe three times. The times she did come to us, we felt rushed, and she would not even give us time to finish our sentences. Let alone being able to ask for something during our meal, she would stare at us and continue to walk by, seeing us wave at her. Receiving poor quality food, having looked forward to that meal, can be really disappointing. We had already started off with a bad experience, so we were hoping at least the food would be delicious. To our surprise, our burger came half cooked, and our nachos came burnt so bad they were stuck to the plate. The food was physically not edible, and it had already taken so long. We addressed it to the server, but her response made us feel bad for even bringing it to her attention. The server’s attitude, and the horrible food made us not want to even reorder. When a server is assigned to you, you expect them to essentially take your order and bring out your food. You also rely on your server to stop by periodically throughout your meal, in case you need anything. This server seemed like she was in a hurry to get everywhere but our table. Not once did she stop by our table to ask how we were doing or if we were in need of anything. In fact, the times we tried to wave her down, she continued to walk away as she stared at us. For us to let her know about our food, we had to wave down a different server and have her call ours. The manager did not even come down to speak to us after how badly the food was served. After a bad experience with a business or product, you would like to receive some sort of compensation to keep the customer from never coming back. After waiting for a while again, the server did not make sure to get us any compensation, but instead slapped the bill on our table for the two cokes we had. A business as big as Bubba’s should have a system for how situations like this should be handled. If the customer has a complaint, it should be taken care of, and we should be able to track our server down quicker to address it. Overall, our experience at Bubba’s was a lot different than what we expected, and not in a good way. For them it may have been two meals going in the trash, but for us it was a dinner that we planned. We dressed nice to go and enjoy dinner with someone we loved, and our experience was completely ruined. The young lady said she didn’t know so I asked her cause she called someone and figure it out. She put me on hold for 10 minutes so I decided to come on in still spend my money with them. We sat in there for 30 minutes and no one came to us then finally someone came to us and she gave us the worst service as Well. Read moreThe food was good. But the service omg I will not be coming back to this restaurant. We arrived at 7:30pm we were seated around 7:35 very quick. The waiter came to take our drink order 20 minutes after we were seated she then came back to get the appetizer order. We didn’t get our drinks until about 25 minutes later we ordered 3 appetizers 2 came out a little after the drinks ( by this time we had ordered our food) we asked about the 3rd appetizer she said it would be out in 5 minutes it took longer then that. Our food came out right after the last appetizer came. It’s around 9:00ish by this time. She only came around one time to give refills and didn’t refill everyone drinks. She forgot one person salad. After all of that we ask for the check it took her 30 minutes to bring the check and we asked why were the appetizers on the bill when we had codes for free ones she told us that the manager said that only one appetizers per table even though we had 2 tables. We wasn’t mad over that we also asked why did they charge us $2 for wings for the combo appetizers she said oh yeah I keep forgetting to tell people that. We did leave until 10:30 pm All over the food was good atmosphere was good. I don’t know if it was the kitchen that was holding her up or if she was going to help other tables before she put in our order but the service was very bad. She was nice very polite.
