UPDATE: I finally had a chance to speak with a co owner (she did call Saturday but I missed her) who handled the situation extremely well. She went into great detail about what's been done to find out what happened, how they've discussed management handling the situation when I called and how they're going to prevent anything like this happening in the future. She also sent me photos of the packaging and it does look like that could be what it is. I'm still not thrilled about it ending up in her food but I can understand it more than gum. I'm glad I didnt just leave things with the original manager I spoke with because they wouldn't have been able to get in touch with me. I dont know that it would have been dealt with as thoroughly either. I found out he has also only been on the management team for about 6 months and is 20 years old. I think he handled the situation as he best thought with the limited experience he has. It probably would've been best for him to hand me off to someone higher up but I think he was just trying to handle the situation to the best of his ability.
We had a gross experience today at Chikfila in Bethlehem. As my 4 year old daughter was eating her nuggets my husband noticed something pink and stretchy in the breading. Someone dropped their chewed gum and it had been deep fried into her nugget. They're supposed to be wearing masks up there as well as not chewing gum. Clearly not happening. We've had food forgotten before and I understand that accidents happen. This is just unacceptable though. Who doesnt notice they dropped their gum or would rather serve the gum than admit a mistake. We called up there and the manager was very apologetic and nice about it. They offered to refund us for her meal but we had to come back in. It wasnt worth driving 20 minutes back to get a $5 refund or they offered a replacement meal that we can get in the next 30 days. I cant say I'm really interested in getting more food from there. I'm waiting to hear back from the owner but I'm hoping something is actually done to prevent this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an online order I was picking up through drive thru. While at the speaker I told the person taking my information that I wanted another large mac and cheese to my order (my online order consisted of 2 large mac cheese entrees). When I got to the window to get my order, I checked it and there were only 2 in the bag along with the rest of my order. I said to, who I assume was the manager, that I was missing a large mac and cheese that was an add-on at the speaker. Her response was, "I watched them bag three." I took her word for it even though I checked the bag and only saw 2. I pulled over and parked in the parking lot to double check. There were only 2. I moved my vehicle closer to the drive thru and parked. There was another employee who was walking into the bldg and got his attention, explained to him the situation, and showed him everything that was in my bag. I gave him the receipt and he took it to the manager in drive thru. The same manager came out with my receipt and in a condescending tone said to me, "I thought we talked about this." I told her that I pulled over and checked the bag again and there were only 2. I tried handing her the bag to check herself and, with the same nasty attitude said "I can't touch that". So I took everything out one by one and showed her that I did not receive 3 orders of mac and cheese. She was talking to me as if I was trying to steal a large mac and cheese. My order was a little over $50. Trust and believe I can afford a large mac and cheese. I told the manager to check the cameras. If she does, she will clearly see that there were 2 placed in my bag. If an honest mistake was made and that 3rd large mac and cheese was given to another drive thru customer, the best thing to do is be a woman about it, be a professional about it, and admit that you were wrong. I spend alot of money at chik fil A to be treated with the kind of disrespect that I experienced today. Be humble and do better, madam. I got refunded for the one I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot happy with this location on this visit. It's been awhile since I have been here so I was not familiar with the changes for their carpool set up. Each one you fo to is different because of their space so you can't just pull in and know. As always this location is busy. Let me say this first. This location is the bomb. They always have it together and they are quick, courteous and efficient. A week ago they were not. I left deflated. I have always been proud to have this location a part of our community because of their friendly professionally attitude. When I pulled into the parking lot I was lost. I was instantly overwhelmed with direction. Or maybe the better description would be lack of direction. So I sat there waiting for the group of outside employees to direct me. It took a few minutes before they waved me into a lane. Once I got closer to where they were standing one girl walked my way. She began to take our order while the group remained in their huddle. During the order taking. The young man in the huddle or employees yelled!! At the girl taking our order to pull forward. She didn't hear him because she was listening to me. He yelled again, pull forward! I was shocked and so was she. She turned around to look at the person yelling at her. Her body language was saying what I was feeling. Rude, embarrassing and totally unprofessional. I almost corrected his laziness but thought otherwise. We finished our order and drove around for our food. I didn't say anything then because sometimes it's best for me to wait until my emotions have calmed. This is the first time since this location has opened that I left embarrassed for the girl and our community...
