We love K-pop bbq for the variety and are repeat customers, however, our most recent experience was very disappointing when it came to service. All other staff aside from our waitress was kind and welcoming. We came in later in the evening but almost 2 hours before they closed. Our waitress did not introduce herself she walked up to our table said “…do yall want ALL the sides…😒” we said yes she said nothing and left to get the typical salads and side plates that we receive on our table each time we come in, never have we been asked or in such a tone. She brought out the sides tossing them on to the table without a word as we all sat in awkward silence. She began clicking things on her ordering console for another long awkward silence before giving us more attitude about ordering apps and proteins. It was obvious she didn’t want to be sat a table or serve us. Almost our entire meal she ignored us and was huffing and puffing doing side work and cleaning throwing stuff with an attitude in to the dirty dish cart or messing with stuff on the table behind us holding utensils loudly bumping it into our booth.
We paid $38/person for me after a long 13 hr shift. I just wanted to enjoy a meal with my family. Instead we all sat on edge afraid to ask her for anything bc anytime we did she wouldn’t even respond with a verbal confirmation or make eye contact just turn and walk away. $38/person to be treated so poorly when we did nothing/said nothing rude to her that I am aware of. She came to the table with this energy. No one likes to be at work on a weekend I get it because I work weekends! There’s no excuse to treat people poorly. If you work in the service industry and you don’t like it consider a new career. If you’re having a rough day you have to learn to gather yourself. It’s no one else’s fault to where you have to be passive aggressive and rude. I’m honestly sad. I work in healthcare I get the days are long and hard and your social battery gets burnt out but this was just sad and I wish it had gone better. We just wanted to make the most of our weekend. wish we had a better experience this left a bad taste in our mouths
Tone and body language speak WAY more clearly than actual words. We usually tip over 20% bc we used to work in the restaurant industry and we get it. Today we did not tip that much due to the service we received. Dear owner, I suggest you speak with your staff about respect and how it goes both ways. You’re losing...
Read moreUnprofessional “Manager” and his son “Waiter” I booked a reservation for a party of 10 a month in advance. I was confirmed to sit at one of their large table that would accommodate all of my party seated together. Instead they sat my party at 2 separate tables across the aisle from each other. Clearly not what I requested nor what was confirmed. When I attempted to speak with the manager, he became defensive and blamed it on the person who no longer work there. The Manager “J” never apologized, was defensive and arrogant. “What happened to basic common courtesy and customer service?” After we were finally seated - 30 mins after our reservation time - a waiter (the manager’s son Jalen) approached our table - not with good evening or hello or welcome- but “your reservation was a 6pm and you are only allowed to sit here 2 hours from the start of your reservation time”. Again where is the customer service here? As some of our party continues to discuss the previous situation amongst themselves while seated at our tables, the manager approaches our table and informs one of our guess that he overheard her “talking about him” and “calling him a name” and she has to leave the restaurant. Now I’m in total shock as the manager is throwing a preschooler fit about allegedly being called a name and telling my party to leave. The matter only got worse as other staff members and a security officer begin approaching our party, antagonizing them as if to entice a fight. Mind you we are a party of professionals adults who gather monthly for dinner. We are not a group of young ghetto looking or acting individuals. Unfortunately the behavior of the manager and his staff was just that - ghetto and unprofessional. After reading other reviews this appears to be a pattern as a very similar incident happened 2 months ago. So unless you want to run the risk of an encounter with thugs such as Manager J and his crew stay clear of this so called...
Read moreReturn Feb 2025 to see if they improved. The food was much better and service was fairly quick. They have once again increased the price plus added fees as well as cut the time you are allowed to stay and enjoy your meal with friends. Come prepared to pay more than the price of your meal especially if you come in a group of more than 3. The cost is no longer worth the experience however. Sad to say I believe this was my last visit. Paying over $100 for 2 people to rush through dinner that you have to cook no longer has the appeal.
2024 Review: It’s been a few years since we visited here; our last trip (2021) was horrible. The menu had changed, the portions had changed and the pricing had gone up, we left feeling it wasn’t worth dining here . However, today was our 37th wedding anniversary so we took a chance and hoped for the best. We were disappointed. The pricing was so much higher it is totally not worth it. The Food quality is even worse than I remember. It’s not fine dining and you eat with plasticware now. The only saving Grace I must say was the service, they were fantastic. They made our anniversary dinner a nice experience in spite of the food.
Review 2020: Went here on Saturday the food was great. They were a bit crowded and our server was spread thin but he was very nice. The food was so good we had to give it another try so we returned on Monday. It is a must do at least once just for the experience but you will want to come back again and again. You can order lunch or dinner any time and they will gladly serve you everything from the menu. Saturday was nothing compared to how great it was on Monday. The food was non stop the service top rate. Can’t say enough good things about the staff and food. Go and see for yourself and if it’s crowded go again you won’t be sorry. Plan to stay and hang out with friends it’s wonderful to share a meal like this where everyone...
