This place has horrible customer service and average pho. We placed an order for The Vermicelli with Grilled Cured Ground Pork. We didn't receive the egg roll or the shrimp it was supposed to come with. We called and was told that they would just remake a bowl if we didn't mind coming back. We said sure and was going to go back and pick up the bowl and leave a positive review as it relates to their customer service. 30 seconds later we get a call saying they were sure they made the order correctly. We explained that they did not and gave them our order to review. Then they said we ordered the wrong thing and it was our fault. We checked our order and receipt and we order exactly what we wanted off of yelp. It came with a picture a description and the price. We called back and informed them that we ordered correctly to see if they would amend the issue. He was insistent that my husband ordered incorrectly. I told him we had pictures from yelp, an order receipt, order number and I read the description of the item. I was then told that sometimes when you order off line the menu is different then whats in the store. I then asked how can you ever know if you are ordering what you want and he laughed as opposed to taking ownership. I was dumbfounded at the blatant lack of concern and care. I cant understand how we went from we will make you all another bowl free of charge to we don't care in 30 seconds flat. I told him to go check the menu on yelp and our order number and he did not care. I asked if he was willing to offer a partial refund considering we didn't get half our meat or the egg roll. He said he cant do that. I then said if this doesn't matter to you then fine. His response was "yeah, uh huh, I'm busy. Have a good day" We will never go back here. Whats wrong with people that they feel its okay to treat people any kind of way after they've taken your money. I hope others decide not to eat here at all. This was just blatant disrespect. We have to start hold businesses accountable for their lack of customer service. We will never go back. There should be a higher standard of customer service here...
Read moreI usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I felt the need to speak up due this restaurant serving pho dishes to my community and families that are close to my heart. (I’ll try to keep it short)
Ultimately the restaurant has a great physical atmosphere and I was excited to see a pho spot when I moved back to McDonough, from Oakland, Ca.
But, immediately when I was presented my food I could tell the ingredients that were used in these pho dishes were not fresh and not of good quality. Fresh and quality ingredients is a MUST in broth based dishes (No exceptions).
My wife’s bowl of pho and mine smelled terrible (I’m leaving out more descriptive words, because I hate being rude, but I’m honest), but I literally had to push the bowl away because I could not take the smell.
In addition, the pork and beef used in their pho was by far the cheapest pieces of meat I’ve seen in my experience of eating Pho. All the while they charge the same prices as quality Pho restaurants charge across the states.
I even asked the “waiter”, which was some dude sitting at the table behind me, what one article of meat I pointed out was and he said “I believe it’s Vietnamese sausage”, but to me they look like spam flaps.
Overall: I was disappointed this restaurant served a broth that smelled terrible (never should happen) and charges the same price as restaurants that use quality ingredients while they use what’s obviously the cheapest ingredients they can get.
My experience was my own, so please try for yourself, but take precaution of my warning and ask for your money back if you...
Read morePho Town was absolutely PHENOMENAL!
Having sampled Pho Tai in 27 U.S. states, I can confidently say that Pho Town in McDonough, GA, stands out as one of the finest. My visit to this charming establishment was a memorable culinary experience that ranks second only to the exquisite Pho I once had in Kapaa, HI, on the island of Kauai.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with excellent service that was both attentive and welcoming. The ambiance was relaxing, creating an inviting environment perfect for enjoying a meal. The highlight, of course, was the food. The Pho Tai was exquisite—rich, flavorful broth with tender slices of beef, perfectly complemented by fresh herbs and noodles cooked to perfection.
Additionally, I must mention the chili sauce at Pho Town. It was the best I’ve ever had—even better than what I enjoyed at Pho Kapaa! The depth of flavor and the perfect balance of heat and spice elevated the entire meal to another level.
The quality of the ingredients and the care taken in preparation were evident in every bite. It’s clear that Pho Town is doing Vietnamese families proud with their authentic and delicious dishes. Now that I’ve relocated to Macon, I look forward to becoming a regular visitor to this wonderful restaurant. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking to enjoy some of the best Vietnamese...
