We came here during our visit to Atlanta for family business. This was our first time here as we had heard many great things on TikTok about the spot. So we decided to give it a shot.
There are a few things to note here before I go into full detail with my review.
This place is busy! So if you're in a rush or expecting they're not to be a wait time you may want to skip this one. It took about 20 to 25 minutes from the time we got seated to our order being taken. This for some people would be a pain point but we gauged the place when we came and were prepared to wait a little bit.
The owner and her family are really great people and they had a vision for this place when they started out. I actually got the opportunity to meet the owner Tandra while we were sitting outside with my girlfriend and my sister. She had her family with her that actually included her mom sitting at the table across from us. Initially we didn't know that she was the owner and we were just casually talking but one of the family members heard us talking about something and chimed in and that's when we discovered wow they really know a lot about this place. Much to our surprise it was actually the owner and her family! We got to talk to them for a bit and found out more about the place.
Sadly a customer ruined the ability to have flights served outside, this includes the no longer served Patron daiquiris which I saw on tiktok and I was disappointed to learn. I ended up having to order drinks separately to try different ones so I ordered to myself, my sister ordered two, and my girlfriend ordered one. The owner actually explained what happened and it's a shame that this caused the policies to be changed and certain things to not be served anymore but I completely understand.
The atmosphere here is very Lively with karaoke inside and a DJ. It's usually very busy and as a result it can gthem. For all that we had owded inside but they do have outdoor seating available as well. The weather was nice so we took advantage and set outside. We flag someone down inside and they said they would be right with us, however it took about 20 minutes or so for someone to actually come outside to our table to start with just the drinks orders. Once they got the ball rolling though, we were able to place our food order and our food came out in a timely fashion afterwards. This is why I had the aforementioned points stated above before I started the review. I had planned to order a flight to try the different options but was told they do not do flights outside anymore due to an incident and they no longer serve the patron flight on top of that. This was unfortunate, but I did not let that stop me from ordering different options. This was actually a place that I found through searching and we wanted to treat my sister to a bit of time away from the grandkids. Grandma had herself an excellent time and even took a sweet tart drink to go after having sampled mine.
The drinks themselves were excellent! Having a good amount of flavor mixed with a good ratio of ingredients to liquor. They will sneak up on you though so please enjoy responsibly. They also have really creative names and really creative recipes for each one. They have a food menu as well and so we each got a few items. I got onion rings and a shrimp basket and my girlfriend got mozzarella sticks which had a good amount of cheese in them.
Overall this place was a nice time and I would certainly revisit when I come back all things considered once they get the waiting piece taken care of. 4 outta 5 -...
Read moreWhat a major disappointment. From the minute we walked in, the place is a hole in the wall. At a maximum, 30 people can fit in a tight space. The seating is horrible and the chairs and bar stools are very uncomfortable. PLEASE DON'T ADHERE TO THE HYPE. This time we spend was a complete waste of our time.
For starters, the IG post is very misleading. It makes the establishment look like something it is not. The food is horrible. I ordered 10 wings with seasoned fries. The wings were supposed to be mixed of sweet chili and hot sauce. Instead of it being a mixture, I was given five hot and five sweet chili wings with some unseasoned fries. We ordered an appetizer, fried egg rolls. The egg rolls tasted like they purchased them from the grocery store and deep fried them. My friend ordered salmon and fries--instead of receiving fries, he was delivered rice and broccoli. When he ordered, he made it very clear he wanted fries.
Why does this establishment have to do the bare minimum? We were served plastic flatware and had drinks from plastic cups. Moreover, I have never been to an establishment that did not serve water with the meals. We were required to purchase bottled water (spring water) and/or cokes in the can, which we did not order. And, the bottle water they were selling was a off brand spring water and canned drinks, again with no refills. The alcoholic beverages are expensive. Speaking of the drinks, my friend order a frozen daq with a shot. We saw what a small shot it was--the shot was poured in the bottom of the plastic cup without measuring from a shot glass. It was a drop in the bottom of the plastic cup; however, his two drinks were almost $25, not including the food. We left there hungry--it was a waste of our time.
I attempted to provide feedback to a gentleman that looked like a manager, however, he did not receive the feedback very well. He dismissed everything I said and did not appear to be bothered by the feedback I was providing. So, here is my feedback.
I highly recommend you not patronize this establishment because it is not worth it. I am flabbergasted at the prices, but they provide the bare minimum with little to no...
Read moreFood was good but the service was bad and they have deceptive practices. I would completely skip this place. This place is like the Ticketmaster of restaurants when it comes to fees. I was a servers for 5-6 years so I understand the importance of tipping but applying automatic gratuity on a two top is a discriminatory practice that you will find at mostly only restaurants that cater to brown and black people because of the stereotype that black/brown people don’t tip and you will mostly always see this in restaurants that are owned by black or brown people. And it’s a 20% auto grat at that when industry standard is 18%. Then there are the other fees that they don’t tell you about, such as the CC fee, which you legally have to disclose beforehand if you plan to collect that surcharge. When we asked for the bill, the young lady Cierra wouldn’t give us a print out of the bill, she just told us a total, which is a deceptive practice since it misleads the customer into not seeing the auto grat and tipping more on top of the AG. Like I said, food is good, but deceptive and illegal practices with...
