I took my wife here for our wedding anniversary. We received the worst service I can ever remember having. We went on a Thursday night. When we arrived the restaurant was about 3/4 full with several empty tables. We still had to wait about ten minutes to get a seat. When we finally got a table the host brought us our drinks. The server did not even stop by to get our orders. We sat there with out any one from the restaurant stopping by the table for at least 20 minutes. We should have left but decided to stay and see if maybe our patience might be rewarded. When finally the host came by and saw our empty cups and no food on the table he asked if we had been waited on yet when we told him we hadn't he went to let the manger know. Ten minutes later the manager finally came and apologized for the poor service and took our orders. My wife ordered a glass of white wine, when she got it 5 minutes later it was room temperature. We waited another 30 minutes before I got plate of dried out look warm ravioli then another 5 minutes before my wife got her plate of chicken parmesan which she said was actually pretty good. When the manager was bringing out our food he said the meal was on him. After finishing our meal we made the mistake of ordering desert, it was another 30 minutes before we received a piece of dried out stale cheese cake. Then we were given the check. The manager comped my wife's wine and our desert but left us to pay for our entrees. I had to hunt down a server to actually pay the bill.
I have always loved Macaroni Grill but will never return to this establishment.
My wife and I visited this Macaronni Grill in December and had a horrendous experience. After I left a bad review here the store GM Pat Johnson called me and invited us back. I was hesitant to accept the offer, but my wife eventually prevailed upon me. We returned last night (01/21/17) and had a very pleasant experience. The food was marvelous and the service was exceptional. I am glad we returned, my wife and I will...

Thought family could come for the food, good atmosphere, and nostalgia of what you remember from years before as kid, we came for lunch time (1pm). Noticed leaky roof and floor areas were in need of repair as well. Upon entering, staffing was very minimal (understandable for lunch hours on Monday). Our waitress seemed friendly but new, and took drink orders only to come back stating they were out of a particular tea flavoring. Instead of the normal question to find suitable replacement, she assumed to replace the option with one random choice and bring that to her, asking if this was fine (more than 5 different options available). When asking for sweeteners, usually brought in small container caddy, was greeted with just a handful the waitress thought to grab and was dropped on the center of the table (attached photo).
We placed our order for 4, 2 soups, 2 appetizers and 1 side pasta. Romano's does NOT offer lunch size portions nor menu so finding options suitable exist but have to look. As orders began to arrive as they came from prep, 1 order was apparently "forgotten about", the side pasta dish and after 15 min wait, we finally received it. Dishes were ok, tomato soup was way under seasoned and plain. Lobster bisque was good and bruschetta seemed ok, cut in diagonal slice which made tomato hard to put on (not bad but different). Oil in all dishes is something you must be able to accept however as you definitely can see across all the food, oil is not sparingly used. When receiving refills on drinks, the first round glasses were left on table which room was limited for dishes. Overall, will probably not be returning and ashame since had many good experiences with Romano's over the years, maybe not just...
Read moreI love Macaroni grills everywhere. It's one of my favorite restaurants. This location left me unimpressed. On Valentines day, I could see why the restuarant was less than full while Cheescake Factory was on a 1.5 hour wait. I was happy to get in. Overall, my lobster ravioli was better than the now closed Snellville location. It was delish. My husband's mushroom ravioli was chewy and the pasta less than al dente in the sense it seemed barely cooked and thick. I tasted his as I also had ravioli. He was not happy. We did not complain. I think our server was new. The couple behind us, waited until we were finished before the wife got her food. Her husband was finished. By this time, the restuarant was 1/4 full. Servers were everywhere and 4 people were on the line and people "seemed" busy, yet customers were getting little service and the manager was not seen since we checked in for seating, at which time the blonde haired hostess barely said a word upon the welcome or the seating. She smiled but was speechless. Server seemed inexperienced but well meaning. There was little leadership on the floor. Twice I called out to 2 other nice servers for cream for the hubbies coffee and then later to get our check. I have typically observed that the slower a restuarant is, the worse the service is. I was not impressed and my husband felt it was not a happy ending for Valentines day. Sigh! NEW SERVERS NEED OVERSIGHT. HE KEPT DISAPPEARING. HE SEEMED ADHD. VERY SWEET, BUT NOT TOP NOTCH MATERIAL..I forgot, he never recorded the appetizer, which never had arrived. We never complained. Coffee lukewarm. We are not difficult to please. Again, server was sweet, but ineffective and in need...
