I visited this Chick-fil-A at 1275 Eagles Landing Parkway.....the visit started off without them having a menu at the drive thru. I then ordered a large sweet tea without ice and a cup of ice and the attendant stated that I wanted a a tea and an empty cup. I repeated what I wanted and got to the window and the lady at the window was handing me a regular size tea and I informed her that I had ordered a large tea. She informed me that I had ordered a regular tea cause that is what the attendant rung me up for and that I needed to pay 24 cents more. She said it with an attitude to imply that I was trying to con her. She never said sorry we may have rung you up wrong. Anyway i paid the 26 cents cause it was 2 cent tax added. I left the restaurant and noticed that they didnt give me a fork to eat the salad with. I also noticed i did not have my receipt for the order of $10 but had the 26 cent receipt. You talk about adding insult to injury. I then attempted to call the restaurant to speak to a manager but after an hour never got anyone at the restaurant to pick up the phone. I drove down to the next Chick-fil-A to get a fork. They were pleasant and gave me the fork without any problems. I called the corporate office and they stated that this was not the type of service they wanted their customers to receive and that the store owner would call me. I called the store again and finally got someone to answer. The manager who answered offered to mail me some coupons and I informed her that I did not want any coupons but did want the owner to call me. After being insulted of trying to get 24 cent worth of tea for free...not being given a receipt of my actual order but being given a 26 cent receipt for the extra tea...not being given a fork to eat my salad....and no one answering the phone...and after 5 days, I still have not heard from the owner. Which is better Chick-fil-A sandwich or Popeye's chicken sandwich? I really do not know but i also know that I have never received this type service at Popeye's. A business can lose customers one by one until there is no business. Even giants...
Read moreTraveling as a family we were excited to stop here once again. We’ve always loved to find those Chick-fil-A treasures you can no longer find on the regular menu. We were disappointed to find they no longer exist here either. We always sat in dining so that we could order chicken salad sandwich, coleslaw and carrot raisin. Once we were seated we found these no longer exist and looking at the menu we would’ve had to PAY more for the same food we could’ve ordered in the regular line. We decided to just go ahead and leave dining and go to the line. We got our food, the fries were not CFA standard cold and brown cooked to long but also sat too long the nuggets were not the best either but after traveling all day and trying to get back on the road to beat Atlanta traffic just ate some and took the rest to dog in car. The real frustration came at the end when I took my grandson up to get refills for the road while the others loaded up. We stood at the end of the counter which EVERYONE does at EVERY CFA everywhere. No one was in line to be served and the cashier who looked at us multiple times refused to leave her register to serve us. Every employee who walked by us (4) refused to serve us. There were many employees on the front line and over by the restaurant bar, no one acknowledged us as we stood there with our cups obviously wanting refills. We stood there 3-4 minutes and decided to leave empty handed :/ One thing with CFA it’s costly to feed a family however you’ve always served well. If you aren’t going to serve the highest quality food AND your service is sub par then you are just like anyone else. There are plenty of other places to stop along the way that offer a cheaper menu. Unfortunately we stopped at a Truetts for breakfast at another location on the way to Florida and we stopped at this location on the way home. They aren’t the most convenient for stopping but always have and unfortunately with the service at both locations we will no longer be stopping when traveling. It was obviously not your pleasure to serve us and it will no longer be...
Read moreI was very disappointed with our family's visit to Truett's Grill. Upfront: we love chic fil a, we frequently visit them, and I'll usually go out of my way to find one for lunch. Traveling through GA we wanted to stop at a Truett's Grill for the novelty of it and to see what the restaurant was like.
We arrived around 10 am for breakfast after checking out of our hotel, and it was immediately obvious that -even though there were more staff than customers- service was slow. We waited almost 5 minutes at the "Please wait to be seated" sign until a waitress told us to sit wherever we liked. We waited another few minutes before just grabbing menus for ourselves. We took both kids to the bathroom and made a trip back to the van for a forgotten baby spoon before anyone came to take our drink order. With two kids under two we waited this whole time to ask for a high chair only to get up and find one ourselves.
We waited for our food, which arrived room temperature and with a mistake to the order. We waited for the order to be corrected (our server assured us it was the kitchen's fault and not his), and by the time my husband received breakfast the rest of us were finished.
We waited for our bill- more bathroom trips and child soothing- before getting up and just asking for it.
Overall, this place wasn't anything special. Everyone was nice, warm, friendly- but the lack of service in a full service restaurant was astounding. I've had the workers in regular fast-food chic fil a's be more helpful and attentitive. Staff were joking around, talking, leaning on walls and on their cell phones.
Its hard to write such a bad review for a company I overall love. But we definitely won't seek out any other novelty restaurants from the Truett collection.
Maybe it was an off day. Maybe it was a bad time. But it should've...
