If there was a symbol for a half star, they would get a 3 1/2 Star. Since I am retired, I enjoy eating out a lot. The one thing, I like in the small places like Gogi is Good Hot Quality food, and Most of all... Great Service... I can have great food, and the service or the people who work in the place can be lousy and it does ruin my Restaurant Experience with them..... This is the case with Gogi Bibimbap. I have been here several times, and the quality of the food has been top notch and good. I thought the dishes had a unique flavor which I enjoyed for a small place. However, after 5 times going in there, it all seems the same... The people who work behind the line to fix your dish, come across as though they do not care if you are there are not. While eating, not once do they come over to ask you about the dish, or even Thank you for coming into their place. After all, I did not have to come. The final straw which broke the Camel's back for me was when I asked for some additional rice. A young girl was sitting at a table with friends and she asked for some additional rice and the young man behind the line quickly accommodated her. So, I went up to the line and asked if I could have additional rice and he said, it will cost a $1. more. I guess he didn't see me watching him given rice away to the other customers when asked. I do not like this. Personally, I can buy a 25 lb of rice at Costco for $8. and Gogi want to charge you a $1. for one serving of rice. I have yet to go to ANY Asian Restaurant and they charge you additional for rice. So, because of these, and even though I liked their food... I do not find their Service to be friendly... So, I have driven by many times, to find a better place to enjoy my Lunch. Sorry Gogi Bibimbap; Customer...
Read moreI hate giving bad reviews especially when I have no complaints about the food itself, but when I see an Owner of a restautant SNEEZE while preparing someone's food and the only thing he did is turn his head and try to block it with his shoulder, then keep preparing it and box It, and hand it to a customer all I can say is ..."Are you serious?" He should have stopped immediately, disinfected the whole station and washed all utensils and started over. I had not been in here in over six months because one of the staff was picking the vegetables that had fallen out of their respective bins and tossing the food back into the bins. Some of lettuce and sprouts and other items were stuck between the outside of the bins and the storage area, and he was throwing the stuff back into the bins. I said WHAT are you doing!!!!??? I have to eat that stuff now.. well then again, no I dont. I walked out. But the Sneeze thing almost made me stand up and tell everybody not to eat their food.. HOW GROSS. Watch them like a hawk if...
Read moreWARNING: PROBABLE SALMONELLA FOOD POISONING.
Spouse and I stopped in for a quick lunch on valentines day. He had the beef, which was bland (boiled?), somewhat odd tasting, we chalked it up to just not being well seasoned or cooked. No biggie, we weren't there for anything fancy, everything else was good! But we ended up needing to cut the day short to run home to handle you-know-what coming out of both you-know-wheres. Three days later he is still in bed with severe joint pain along with all the othere severe food poisoning symptoms. I am severely immunocompromised so it is extremely, extremely unlikely this is any sort of contaguous illness. Full disclosure he has not seen a doctor yet but he has had salmonella poisoning before years ago and this...
