I had never been to Mission BBQ before but had their food (from a company picnic), I was greeted and my order was taken. I proceeded to the counter when my name was called and a nice young lady show me my order (I had ordered dinner for the family which included 1/2 rack of ribs XXL combo 1/2pound pulled pork and a beef brisket sandwich) I assumed that the the foil I saw in the container was my sandwich and left the store. Upon getting all the way home my sandwich wasn't in the bag and the ribs couldn't be eaten according to the person it was for. I called back to the store and the manager Jake said I could bring it back (after he stated that the ribs were good all day long and the young lady /his staff should've shown me the order. Getting back to the restaurant and giving back my ribs, "Jake" the manager opens the box and proceeds to tell me that I didn't eat the ribs the correct way (although I told him I don't eat ribs and the ribs were for someone else) He takes back the ribs and asks for new ones. Upon getting new ribs he shows me the ribs and says when I eat ribs I need to eat the whole thing not just picking off the top. How dare this manager "Jake" tell me how to eat what I paid for that weren't even mines! He was rude and really wasn't listening to a word I had said about the ribs not even being for me! If this is the way customers are treated at Urban BBQ I will never return especially to...

This is my favorite casual restaurant. The food is all fantastic. They have a variety of BBQ sauces at the table so you can try various flavors with your food.

The staff is always pleasant with service above and beyond. Even though they don’t have waiters, friendly staff will still come to your table and offer to get you a refill of drinks , get you doggie bags, or take away empty plates.

I love the patriotic atmosphere that gives kudos to the military and first responders. They deserve all the respect we can give them.

I very much enjoy the restaurant’s tradition of playing the national anthem at noon every day. There’s a sense of community when patrons and employees alike stand with their hands over their hearts facing the flag while the music plays.

I also love their iced tea. I’m an iced tea aficionado! It’s rare to find a chain restaurant with real good brewed iced tea. Chipotle and Five Guys used to have it, but no more so I stopped going to them but on rare occasions. Chick-fil-A and Mission BBQ have good tea and make it worth the trip for me.

I recently learned that they call their restaurant managers “servant heart leaders” instead of “managers”. I’m very impressed at the heart of service that the mgr, staff, and decor display. Combine all of that and the great food and you can see why it’s my favorite casual restaurant.

Having written this, now I’m hungry for a pulled...

Mission BBQ at Cherrywood Lane in Greenbelt, Maryland, exceeded my expectations in every way. Opting for the 5 bone spare ribs, fries, and a fountain drink, my $20.19 felt like a worthwhile investment in culinary delight.

The service, orchestrated by my delightful host "Linda," was nothing short of spectacular. Her cheerfulness set a positive tone for my dining experience. The manager, whom I had the pleasure of speaking with, exuded humility and impressive knowledge about the menu.

The spare ribs were a symphony of tenderness and flavor. Each bite showcased a perfect balance, with the meat effortlessly tearing off the bone. The well-prepared ribs boasted a tantalizing color that hinted at the culinary expertise behind the scenes.

The fries were a masterpiece of perfection, expertly cooked to a golden crisp without a hint of sogginess. The salt content was precisely calibrated, elevating the overall dining experience.

Accompanying my meal with the classic sweet tea was a wise choice. The beverage struck a harmonious balance of sweetness, aligning perfectly with my taste preferences.

Leaving Mission BBQ, I felt thoroughly satisfied and eager to return. This establishment is a culinary gem, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a delightful...

Had a taste for Barbecue and decided to give this place a try. First off it’s created by veterans which automatically deserves a try. The interior and exterior are also military themed which as naval veteran scores points with me. Now as for the food I ordered 3 meats, two sides and a drink for $31 and it was enough food for two meals. I ordered brisket fatty which was little to lean for my taste but smoky and moist. The 2 rib, were tender, smoky and full of flavor & jalapeño sausage which was crunchy and okay not my favorite. The sides were MAC & cheese and greens beans with bacon they tasty but I’m pretty sure out of à can. Ok I almost forgot the corn bread. Moist and delicious. Overall it was a very good meal. next time I would just get the brisket and ribs with the baked beans and slaw and forget the drink and maybe come in around $22.
