I visited this location yesterday with two guests. I thought that I was going to have a positive experience but did not. For starters, the waitress did not give her name. I asked and she said Yasmin or Yasmine. It’s important to know who my server is to establish rapport versus just asking what I want to drink. Next, I ordered the blackened salmon with broccoli and substituted the garlic mashed potatoes for a salad which was an up charge. I don’t like garlic and I cannot have carbs. My guests ordered some roast beef sandwiches with au jus sauce. In the meantime (trying to knock the cold off), we ordered the sampler that came with wings, spinach and artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks and quesadillas. That was not enough for 3 people to share. Next, we waited forever for our food. Shortly afterwards the waitress comes out to ask me if I wanted my salad now or later with my entree and said the order was ready. I said to bring it now because I was hungry. For future reference, if a customer asks for a substitute it should have been part of my meal. The broccoli was warm. The salad was nasty and I couldn’t eat it. I love salads and wondered how one can mess it up. My guests received cold fries and cold au jus sauce. We let our waitress know whose only reply was “I’ll get you some hot fries.” They should have been hot when the food was delivered initially. The appearance of the fries were not glistening and someone should have never brought them out. Never serve customers something you wouldn’t eat yourself. There was not an apology. Customer service people! I’m inclined to believe that our food had been ready for some time. This was not worth $80. My guests ordered some alcoholic drinks too. I’m very upset. We could have gone anywhere but CHOSE to eat here.

I visited this location during the aftermath of the season's first snow storm. I was staying a local hotel so I didn't have to drive 30 miles back home from work. Every restaurant in the immediate area was closed from fast food locations like Burger King, Chick fil-a, and Bojangles, to sit-down restaurants like O'charley's, Longhorn, Ihop, and Cracker Barrel. The parking lot was reasonably well plowed and there were ample clear spaces to park. I expected the wait to be rather long, but was greeted and seated within 60 seconds of walking in. By listening to other party's conversations I could tell that the wait staff had been under a lot of pressure throughout the day. My waitress came to my table about 5 minutes after I was seated, took my drink, appetizer, and entree order and was pleasant. My drink arrived 2 or 3 minutes later. I ordered the BBQ Brisket Quesadilla as an appetizer and it arrived about 8 minutes after my drink and was fantastic. The best quesadilla I've ever had. My entree arrived about 10 minutes later, a baked Manicotti with Meat sauce. It was average, not exceptional but it was what I expected. The waitress was attentive, not visibly stressed, and showed no indication that she didn't want to be there. There was a party of two seated next to me that were never satisfied with how their food was prepared (too spicy, too much vinegar, etc) and the servers and manager were overly friendly and accommodating of them. Overall I was very pleased and surprised with the level of service here during what surely had been a stressful day. I am very grateful that this location chose to remain open despite the road conditions and was impressed with the level of professionalism from their entire staff.

Horrible experience. Online delivery has always been good but we decided to visit for Mother's Day and for my husband birthday. Hubby ordered 8 oz sirloin and I ordered 8 oz sirloin and shrimp. My steak was tiny. Both our plates were filthy and hideous looking. The only plate that looked ok was my friend loaded chicken. We complained to Tracy the manager who claimed they weigh the steak and that's how its cut and the plates bump together as to why they dirty. Hubby had bbq sauce on the side and bottom of his plate Mine looked like they used an old plate to throw that on. All food returned. We just paid for the drinks though we shouldn't had to due to the inconvenience and wait. Awful. Here's an old order from a year ago with an actual 8 ounce compared to the mess they tried to sell me attached to this review. Wasn't worth $20. Only thing that made this pleasant was the nice waitress Michelle S who had to work on her birthday. She told us how the cook and others dont listen to her on presentation. Well these pictures shows the lack thereof. First 2 pics are the delivery order a year ago versus the plates inside we sent back.. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I came to this Applebee's to get a meal late at night because I didn't want any fast food. I placed a pickup order and was told that per the website, it would be ready at 10:24pm. Cool. I arrive and park in To Go Spot #4. Now I'm outside waiting and the time hits and I'm looking for my food. I'm patient and wait a little more, and 15 minutes goes by. Several people walked out, but they were customers and workers. I'm frustrated now. I got out of my car and went into the restaurant, and the first thing that hit me was the smell. I'm not sure if it was that thin carpet, the bar, or the seats, but I noticed it is the same at most Applebee's. I stand there looking for a station for the to go and there is none. Just some boxes piled up on what I guess might've been the to go station. I stand there needing help, and a waitress walks by. I tell her my situation and she says I'll tell the kitchen. She says they are working on it. I'm like, how I placed this order like 35 minutes ago. I'm still waiting, and the bartender comes out of the restroom and asks if I need help. I said someone had already asked, thank you for asking. Another waitress comes up after another 5 minutes total of waiting and asking if I need help. I say I told someone, but can you please check. She comes back and says they are getting it together. I'm in disbelief. this has been a total of 40-45 minutes of waiting. She finally comes out and says, "Here you go." I say thank you, but this is crazy. If I hadn't come in, I would still be waiting in my car. She then said to call the store from now on because no one knows if you are out there or not. I was like, what kind of craziness is this. I ran down a host of reason this was unacceptable. First, the food is paid for, so someone is coming to get it. Second, Applebee's set the time, so they knew when it would be up and someone was coming. Third, there is no one coming to check and see if you're even out there. It's very dark and a bad location for to go spots. They should be in front where it's well lit. Fourth, the sign says, "Wait in your car, someone will come, and they never did." The website even said wait. Fifth, why is there no check-in button to click on a response email to let them know you're there and what spot you're in..kinda like at Cracker Barrel restaurant. I was upset by my experience and the ball drop, the uncleanliness of the restaurant, the slowness of my order, and the restaurant being medium packed. I could understand on a busy night, but this was a Wednesday night and a non-covid time period. Shouldn't this have been streamlined due to Covid, but it was not. It was outdated and had no communication. The only high point was that the food was good, but I was pressed for timely, and this incident made me late. All that was required was a few small changes. This is a management ball drop and kitchen fail for time...

IT WAS HORRIBLE... I never say anywhere is horrible but it was. The server at the door was confused and apparently didn't know her job, then another host came to help whom one would say he knew more but apparently he didn't either. We entered and was told we had a 20 min wait, nobody asked our names, party size ages nothing.. So after waiting for 30 mins I then asked the sever hos much longer was the wait and were we supposed to put our name down on the list, she stated yes.(but nobody asked when we asked them initially tho) so then I asked the other male server besides applesbes, Fridays (who stated they had a 2hr wait at 4:17 pm and red lobster, where are any other restaurants around this area.. KEY WORD RESTAURANT!!! As I'm not from here and apparently they do things different I'm NC than we do in VA.. he proceeds to tell me to leave go right down the st n I'll see McDonald's, taco bell, burger King and if I went left I'd see Chick fil a, So when I asked them so you don't know of any other restaurants around here not fast food places, they told me no.. so I assumed they only eat Applebee's everyday the male server told me he eats subway which is around the corner or the sushi place in the same strip.. I dont eat at those places so I walked off and went to wait with my party.. He then asks the server how long have they been waiting she doesn't know.. so then he proceeds to seat us at a table that was filthy, I wiped it down myself.. and left us there for almost 30 mins before a server names Rashida came along to help us.. Now she's lost cuz she walked in the door was was slammed with almost 7 tables instantly.. She helped take our orders and was SUPER NICE, UPBEAT AND PLEASANT towards us every tho she felt the bad vibes we had from our experience earlier with her co-workers.. The kitchen messed up a couple of our foods but it was okay.. So while were boxing our food up and preparing to leave the male server came to our table and asked were we ready to leave and how was our experience... In my opinion this facility needs to shut down and take a customer service assistance class and have Rashida teach cuz clearly they could learn a thing or 2 from her.. I definitely wouldn't eat there again not even as a visitor. I get places are short staffed during this time of yr but that's no excuse to me mean or nasty to ppl that wasn't mean or nasty towards you nor...

I'm only giving 3 stars for the lady who sat me and my husband she had curly hair and was a burst of fresh and after her my waiter a tall skinny guy. I saw him come from the back with food for the other side of the restaurant the lady who sat us was sitting over on the side also eating she asked him something and I don't know what she asked but you can tell by the way he moved his head and rolled his eyes that there was going to be a problem even though I don't know what she said to him you can just tell by his movement. So he drops the food off and on his way back into the back he looked over at us and turned his head and went back to the back then after about a few minutes he walked out of the other side of the back came up the few stairs and walked right by us to the booth behind us and proceeded to ask what they wanted to drink instead of finding out which one of us was here first I was extremely upset about that so when I made a complaint the first thing he did was blamed the lady with the curly hair who sat us down saying that he sorry about that but she didn't tell him that we were sitting here when he looked at us before he went to the table on the other side with there food!!!!! To be honest I think that made me uncomfortable and upset because he really tried to downplay and throw the lady with the curly hair under the bus and she was so nice and knows how to greet customers extremely well so I couldn't understand why he do that so me and my husband got up and left!!! And as we were leaving the lady with the curly hair apologized for him after he gave her attitude and after he blamed her for him not doing his job!!! I will never ever ever go back if I do it will be Togo and hopefully I'm greeted by the same lady every time because if not I will be walking right back out the door!!!! It's too much attitude in there I would recommend ordering Togo and hopefully have a wonderful greeting like me and my husband was greeted!!!! Do better Applebee's or get rid of them kids you have walking around in there with...
