Hey there, food enthusiasts and flavor aficionados! Today, we're taking a trip down to downtown Greenville, South Carolina, to experience the fiesta at Viva Villa Mexican Grill. And let me tell you, folks, this place brings the heat in more ways than one! As I walked into Viva Villa, I was immediately struck by the vibrant colors and lively atmosphere. It's like stepping into a home renovation project gone right, with every corner bursting with energy. The walls are adorned with beautiful Mexican artwork, and the music fills the air like the sound of power tools in action. Now, let's get to the main event: the food! Viva Villa takes Mexican cuisine and turns it up to 11. Their menu is a symphony of flavors, featuring all the classics you know and love, plus some unexpected twists that'll make your taste buds sing. From sizzling fajitas to mouthwatering enchiladas, they've got it all covered, just like a well-stocked toolbox. One dish that really grabbed my attention was the "Macho Nachos Grande." This mountain of crispy tortilla chips is piled high with all the fixings you can imagine, from savory seasoned beef to melted cheese, fresh guacamole, and tangy salsa. It's like a power surge of flavor that'll leave you shouting "viva villa!" at the top of your lungs just like I do when I tell the kids to be quiet or ill turn the cat around! But that's not all, folks! Viva Villa also boasts an impressive selection of refreshing beverages. Their margaritas are like the ultimate power tool for your taste buds, with a variety of flavors that'll make your head spin (in a good way, of course!). Whether you like them frozen or on the rocks, these margaritas pack a punch that's sure to leave you feeling satisfied. Now, let's talk about the service at Viva Villa. Just like a trusty sidekick, the staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to lend a helping hand. They'll guide you through the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure that your dining experience is as smooth as a well-oiled machine. In terms of value, Viva Villa provides a bang for your buck that even Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor would appreciate. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices won't make your wallet feel like it's been hit with a power tool. It's a win-win situation, my friends! So, my fellow flavor enthusiasts, if you find yourself in downtown Greenville, make sure to visit Viva Villa Mexican Grill. It's a culinary adventure that'll have you shouting "arrriba!" in no time. From the lively atmosphere to the mouthwatering dishes, this place is like a power tool for your taste buds. Just be prepared to leave with a happy belly and a desire to come back for more! That's all for now, folks. Until next time, keep embracing the flavors that make life delicious and remember to always add a little spice to your in your life Argh, argh, argh!

Came as first time customers, party of 3 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. First let me say our server Cassie was polite and her service was awesome. Our food was delicious. Our night was ruined when our party of 3 people were charged an 18% gratuity and not informed ahead of time, nor was it on the menu or posted. We were told that the cost of our bill was why it was added. Our bill was round up a total of $62 before tax. I've dined many places and have never heard this done before and if that would be the case as a customer you would be made known. We expressed our concerns and a Manger never came to the table to address us. Our tab was paid however because of how they decided to go about things it definitely does not leave us with the desire to return and they may not care that is how we feel. Very disappointing.

Tried this place for the first time tonight. Service was good - our waitress checked in on us constantly. Drinks - margarita was way too sweet. Felt like it was just sweet / sour mix rather than lime juice / simple syrup. Food - The salsa was good! A little on the sweet end, but tasty! Also had a nice kick! Fajitas were good. Seasoned very well. Ordered the combination (shrimp, steak, chicken) and the ceviche. Ceviche was good. Avocado was a nice touch! They served it w/ tostadas. Flan for dessert - fantastic. Bonus - our waitress brought us a bonus dessert of shortbread tortilla chips w/ whipped cream and strawberry glaze. Would recommend. Because Google doesn’t do 1/2 ratings, this is a 4.5 / 5. Rounding up. (PS - their location on Haywood / North St. is closed. They do have other locations.)

This place charges a lot for their drinks and plates so I’d expect for the food and beverage to be absolutely top notch. First of all, don’t go on the weekend unless you have extra money. They have lunch specials that aren’t available on the weekends. We both ordered the spicy mango margarita. Our server made the drink and it was beautiful but it was 12 dollars and they put pretty much zero alcohol in it. I would expect a 12 dollar drink to at least have us buzzed and enjoying the food… nope. My partner has absolutely zero tolerance plus we had been walking all day and she felt… nothing. So that was a big rip off and honestly I’m offended I spent 24 dollars plus tip and tax for what was basically spicy juice.

We ordered a 25 dollar entree called the “Frank Special”. It was shrimp and steak. The steak was straight trash it was 1/3 pure grizzle. It was also somehow burnt but bleeding in the middle. I don’t mind steak like that if it’s good quality but this was literally stew meat. The shrimp was decent.

Advice to the owners: you guys are charging on average 80 dollars a table and serving spicy juice with stew meat trying to pass it off as margaritas and steak.

I should have asked for a refund but didn’t want to cause a fuss. Also, the spicy margarita or something upset my stomach almost immediately after. I feel scammed and I won’t return ever again. I’d rather go to a hole in the wall and pay half of what you are charging for quality over...
