PART 1: You’re really at a zero but I can’t rate that low. On 10/17/24 an order was placed for 30 wings, 2 banana pudding cookies and fries to be picked up at 7:30pm.
7:32pm: I walk in, let them know I have an online order. At that moment, one of the male workers gets up, walks to the back. The female employee takes my ticket to the back, comes back and says they don’t have the cookies or fries. I said “ok that’s fine, yall do have chicken right?” She says, yes. She then proceeds to ask if I wanted a refund of the cookies and fries? (I should have known at this moment it was going to go downhill) It honestly caught me by surprise because the norm should be to refund if an item isn’t available. I tell her yes I want a refund. “It’ll be another 15 mins”, she said. Now I’m even more confused because why do I still have 15 mins on food that should have been completed at 7:30pm? She said they stopped cooking my food because they were out of the other items that were ordered so they weren’t sure if I still wanted my food.
I then ask, “why didn’t yall call and ask if I still wanted my order because now I have to wait another 15 mins for food when I was expecting to come pick this up and go back home to my kids?!” I tell her because I have to wait for my food to cook I would like compensation. She calls her boss (assuming the owner of the resturant) and tells him what happened then she hangs up. Her exact words “he said there’s nothing we can do about it”. I ask to speak to him so she calls him back. I get on the phone, repeat my issue, repeat what she told me he said initially then he says (EXACT WORDS) “yea there’s nothing I can do. I mean I’m going to refund you your money for cookies and fries.” I ask, “so you mean to tell me you can’t do anything for me because I have to wait for your employees to cook my food that should have been done by now all because they weren’t sure I wanted my order because y’all are out of items? Now I have to wait 30 mins for food (I was interrupted..his words “it won’t be 30 mins”) because it’s not cooked. He said, “Yea, I mean I can give you a gift card the next time you come in because I don’t have any in the store right now.” Just know we cancelled the order and checking statements to make sure money is refunded. I think that’s when I realized “this man cares nothing about making it right for the customer.”
Mess up #1, telling your employee to tell a paying customer who’s been inconvenienced significantly that “nothing can be done”
Mess up #2, speaking to said customer and still saying nothing can be done.
Mess up #3, you go from saying “nothing can be done” to “I can give you a gift card the next time...

I try to support local black businesses because I have one. I had high hopes for this spot because of its proximity of downtown and its delicious sounding menu. First thing is their wings are NOT CHEAP. Honestly I understand the prices bc of the location and ever rising food prices among many other factors, I get it, no problem.
The first time I ordered online, the online ordering system said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived and still had to wait an additional 20 minutes. While in the store, it was loud and ran by children who were loud, cussing and who did not have good customer service skills (AKA hello, welcome, the basics). The food was really good.
The second time I went I had to wait a few minutes for my food after ordering online. I had to ask for the ranch that was supposed to come with the meal. It was nasty and cheap ranch. I also, got the fries which were good but they were well cooked almost over cooked.
The third and final time I went I placed my order online at 12:00 and i gave them extra time because it was Friday lunch hour. I arrived at 12:40pm and I still had to wait on my order. I went inside to wait, there was about 4 other people waiting on their order as well. While inside the cashier who was a younger lady never said welcome, whats the name for your order or anything. I had to ask her about my order. She asked the guy in the back and said he's packing it up right now. She went on to sweep the lobby and I waited another 20 minutes.
I did not receive a ranch, I got the garlic parm and honey buffalo. The wings tasted like they were rushed, meaning parm cheese was dumped on top of the wings and I tasted no garlic. The honey buffalo was only buffalo no honey and nothing spectacular or nothing I couldn't have gotten any where else. I was crushed. I had waited an hour, drove across town and my food was NASTYYYYYY!
I say all this to say, I wanted to support this business but I will not moving forward. The food is not consistent and customer service is horrible and the wait times given online are not actual. The cashier or owner could at least try to offer free drinks, fries or something for long wait times. or apologize for the inconvenience. AND change the wait time on their online ordering to a more realistic wait time. I little care goes a long way especially when someone is trying to support...
Read moreMy first time trying Wing Crave was on Wednesday 10/27/2021. My experience was A-MAZING. I ordered my food online and it was ready within the 20 mins it allotted for. There was an older gentleman cooking and a young lady in the front taking orders. The wings were Delicious! Now, my second experience was TERRIBLE on 10/30/2021. I placed an order online and it was supposed to be ready at 2:10pm. I walked into the establishment at 2:18 and there were 2 ladies in front of me ordering. Once it was my time to be served I gave the young man my name for my online order. He stated it wasn’t ready. I proceed to ask him how long is the wait to receive my order. He couldn’t give me an estimated time on when my order would be ready. I waited for 5 more mins and my order still wasn’t ready. I asked again for an ETA on my order and he still couldn’t give me a time. I then asked to cancel my order and for a refund. The young man called the owner (I assume) on how to refund my money. He stated I would receive an email showing a refund. I never received an email. At this time it’s 2:38 pm the owner then asked to speak to me about the situation over the phone. The owner was rude, never apologized, didn’t care about the wait time, and never tried to correct the situation. The owner stated they had a lot of online orders. It’s a Saturday and it’s football season. If you know you are busy then you need more than 2 young boys working on Saturdays. There were also 2 other young boys going in and out of the establishment going back in the kitchen and behind the cash register without washing their hands. That’s nasty and not sanitary while being around and cooking food. COVID-19 is still going around! One young man kept going in and out of the kitchen NEVER washed his hands and was preparing food. An older and more responsible person should be there to supervise these young men. I love that the young men are working and not in the streets BUT they were not getting the job done. However I did walk out with a ticket showing my order was canceled. Now let’s see if I will get a refund in the next couple of days. I definitely won’t be back. I don’t care the food is good.
