AMAZING SERVER: she was a real gem and the star of the show. If I had just written about the service, I would have easily given an outstanding five star appraise. But what left a terrible taste in my mouth was dealing with the owner; after my party's interaction with him, we know we will never return nor recommend the restraunt to anyone.
At the end of the meal, there was a slight miscommunication where we were charged for 2 appetizers and just wanted clarification from a possible miscommunication earlier about replacing our first appetizer. We would have been fine paying for both appetizers, but when the owner came out, he immediately started challenging us and questioning our right to eat in his restraunt and to have our own judgements of his food. While a professional explanation of the situation and policy to not replace items would have been fine (we would have paid for both apps), the manager alienated and attacked us. I've never been asked what my profession was by a restaurant owner so he could "teach me a lesson". I dont think anyone eating out would want to pay to feel patronized and disrespected. Mistakes always happen, but the way in which the owner could not be more disposed to disrespect and taunt is not excusable and no one should be paying him to...
Read moreIf confronting and arguing with a paying customer for not "tipping" is accepted and is standard business practice, I will not step foot in this restaurant or any other nationwide moving forward. I'm in Denver on business from Atlanta and visited this restaurant on 7/25. I spent close to $70 between briefly dining in and order food to go. Keep in mind, I PAID my tab. On 7/26, I visited the restaurant again only to be confronted by the worker that helped me the day before asking why I did not leave a tip the day before. Before I could explain that I was in a rush that day and a ton of things going on so it truly slipped my mind, I'm being argued with and in the middle of the restaurant while other customers are dining. This man even went so far as to tap other customers on the shoulder and pull them into the conversation about whether "tipping" is normal in Denver. He then tells me that if "tipping" is not "normal" in Atlanta, then I need to go back to Atlanta. He says that he lives off of tips and I was in there looking for a "freebie". HOW AM I LOOKING FOR A FREEBIE WHEN I PAID MY BILL IN FULL AND CAME BACK TO SPEND MORE MONEY WITH YOU? I walked out and will never visit this place again and I promised that guy that I would inform my entire Denver team of...
Read moreThis is one of my family's favorite places. The dishes here are always outstanding. My kids are always partial to the gyros, but we've eaten nearly everything on their menu at least once and it's always delicious. Moreover, the environment and the owners are simply wonderful. It's family run, and has been for decades. Don't come in there expecting a crazy, hectic restaurant environment. Instead, choose this restaurant if you want a place to take a friend or date to enjoy both the food and the ability to have a conversation. Choose this restaurant if you want to take your kids someplace genuinely family friendly, where the hosts/owners will spend time talking to your kiddos as they serve them and reassuring them they'll like the food. The first time I took my kids here, my younger (very picky) kids were hesitant to touch anything on their plates. Over the years the owners have helped me constantly assure and reassure my littlest kids that the food is not only safe to try, but delicious. Now, my kiddos love going here. They eat everything up and always look forward to coming again. Honestly, can't say enough good things...
