So I have a new favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the Denver metro area. We headed to Sahara to give it a try and the food was amazing. We got the Sahara plate so that we could try a wide range of their Lebanese style dishes. The fattoush, hummus and babaganush were just some of the best flavors I have tasted in a while. The gyro meat was well seasoned and both the beef and the chicken were tender and flavorful. The pita bread was served warm and made it easy to enjoy everything. The Greek salad was good but the entree stole the show. The salad is an individual side salad serving so you can add it to an entree and not spoil your dinner. They also have a large selection of I’ll entree dishes and a collection of Tangines that I am going to try. We closed out our meal with an almond tort which was delicious and provided that little bit of sweet to top of the meal. Our waiter was Amine and he was very helpful in helping us learn about the menu and the cuisine. We hope that we get to see Amine when we return. They closed the restaurant down for 14 months to redo the inside. You should come here and see the details in the decorations especially all the middle eastern lighting. The white walls and arches throughout the restaurant transport you to the Mediterranean. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return as frequently as possible.

I have loved the food and service here for years, but after a 2 year hiatus in Seattle, I was sorely disappointed. The meat was very tender, but tasted boiled and bland. Not at all what I was expecting. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she asked me if I wanted Harissa and Sumac on the side. She charged me 3.50 for 2 ounces of Sumac. It was less than a tablespoon. Not two ounces at all. FYI Sumac is a FREE condiment at most Middle Eastern and Persian places. And it didn’t really even help with the quality of the flavor. Bland and gross. And the rudeness that came with it was just that much worse. Don’t waste your money here. Go across the street to Surena. Surena doesn’t charge for their condiments and the food is much tastier! Completely disappointed. Never going back. Also their mint tea is 10$ for maybe 8 oz? Complete rip off. If you have to charge for condiments AND the food is gross, maybe it is time to let it go.

One of the best Marrocoan restaurants in town. We come here regularly. The food is great, service is good, but the kitchen seems to struggle to keep up from time to time. So be prepare to wait for awhile. For dinner, order one of 3 featured menu items. The "Combo Kabob" seem to be the winner in our group. "Brochette Combo Mashwi" is my personal fav. w/ all the kafta & kabob variants and gyro. "The Sahara" is lighter combo dish w/ falafel, hummus, baba-ghanooj, tabbouleh, and fattoush. You can ask half rice and half hummus on any entree. For lunch, they have lighter menu. You can build your skewer plate or be adventurous and try the Marrocoan Burger for some spiced up beef w/ Mediterranean twist. Friday means Tajine specials. We only had a chance to try the lamb shank and it's out of this world!! Bottom line, stop by, try them and get hooked.

Rude, slow, and highly unprofessional service. Mediocre food, served cold.

If service, timeliness, and quality of an average level is important to you then do not enter or order from Sahara. Last night after we discovered that we were missing half of our order, we promptly contacted the restaurant only to be told that we must be counting wrong. Several minutes of back and forth later, I returned to Sahara and waited for the kitchen to make the missing meal. After fifty minutes of waiting later and not being offered even a glass of water, the kitchen descended into an expletive riddled shouting match with staff yelling so loud that I could hear it from the front that they hadn’t packed the “fing Sahara Special”, they didn’t want to give me my “fing meal”, they had “been up since 7 in the f*ing morning”, etc.

After over 3 hours since fist placing my order, I returned home to reheat my food only to discover that they had substituted part of it without saying anything to me! Not only did I waste 3 hours of my time being treated terribly, in the end I still didn’t receive the food I ordered...

I’ve been to Sahara several times in the past and until last night I had never had a problem. However, this experience was so extreme that I will never return and will warn others...

Unfortunately this is my first and last time here, really don't know what to start with... I'll start with the service, we had to wait couple minutes in front of the door just becuase the servers didn't realize there is a custumer that needs to be seated! After we placed our order the servers disappered I literally had to stand up and go find them myself! I know the reason though when you don't order that much food you don't get that much service! This is is how it works in below average restaurants, there were couple of tables with party a side us that servers where spining around and checking un them every single minute ! For us we had to wait at least 5 minutes for the server to show up and pour water for us , yes we had to ask for water refill and when they showed up they spilled the whole cup on my mothers pants! I get it thing happen but atleast you can apolegize! At least a manager can show up and say sorry for what happened but none of those happened! Now let's talk about the food, I'm from middle east so I know how middle eastern food shood taste , all there dishes were very disappointing they all lacked flavor and seasoning the meets where all over cooked ! I wouldn't go back there ever and wouldn't recomened it to anyone ! Very...
