I was intrigued by the 5-star reviews and have thoroughly enjoyed another Nepalese restaurant near Boulder and wanted to try something closer and different. This was a good experience thanks in large part to the patience of the lady at the register and very caring gentleman who clearly took a lot of pride, joy and time making dishes. We had a samosa, the half & half veg. momo and the limited time, "Newari Khaja Set" also known as Samay Baji - a traditional Newari dish that symbolizes good luck, joy, health, and longevity. The potato and green pea samosa came with a sweet and tangy tamarind chutney that also has a pleasant spice level. Next came the momo, a veg slaw and curry in a pleated dumpling which we had some pan fried to a nice crisp on the bottom and the other half were deep-fried with a mayo-based sauce. The set dish had a delicious black-eyed pea curry, cucumber and carrot salad, meat alternative dish, lentil pancake, roasted black beans(I think), a gently spiced potato salad, a spice rubbed hard boiled egg and a fantastic red lentil and rice dish that I think was freeze-dried or something which gave it a wonderfully airy crispness like a Rice Crispy (not hot-pot crispy rice). Overall, I’m glad we tried it, met the chef and hopefully, be blessed with good luck, joy, health and...

Took my my mother and brother here after a friends recommendation. This was my first exp with Nepalese food and I did not leave disappointed. We got Chau Chau Sadheko, chicken momo, and vegetable momo.We ordered the Chau Chau with the owners recommendation it was fresh and herby with tomato onion and herbs with crunch from fried noodles and a decent level of spice similar flavor profile to pico but spicier. The momo was served with a cold sesame soup and flavorful dips I recommend pouring the soup over the dumpings and mixing chili crisp in the soup. The chicken momo was star of the show here, the dumplings are very spiced and flavorful wrapped in a delightfully chewy wrapper, the spices are balanced out by the soup providing a delicious taste exp. The veggie momo was wa filled with spiced shredded vegetables in a chewy wrapper, I recommend the other dip for this one. Everything about going here was great, complimentary masala chai, delicious dumplings and friendly and attentive staff. If you never have had Nepalese food I would not be afraid to get out of your comfort zone, and come here with some friends, share some dumplings and drink...
Read moreSo, we have pretty much been coming here as super regular customers since we discovered this place Think 2-5 times a week for chai and snacks. I think we have tried everything on the menu. Everything is excellent and consistently excellent (I feel qualified to comment on their consistency because of our frequency of patronage).
These people have created something very warm and friendly and they actually do care about their customers. Let me demonstrate this statement. I have been so sick the past 72 hours. Fevers, Chills, Muscle Aches, Joints that feel like they’re literally on fire. Th only thing I can manage to consume right now is fluid. Upon hearing this, they made me soup. They didn’t charge my husband for it, just sent it home to me with well wishes and that is the level of quality and care you will find here.
Everything we have eaten here is delicious. And, for me people matter. And here you are a person, not just an order and that is so profoundly moving to me. To just feel cared for at that level.
I guarantee if you haven’t had Nepali Street food, this is an excellent introduction. Not only is the food worth raving about, the people that make the magic here are...
