I am beyond disappointed by our last visit. As many of our crew are Iowa alum, this is our go-to spot for watching hawk games of all sports as it is designated as an Iowa alumni watch spot. We arrived Friday night excited to watch playoff football and the top 15 women’s basketball matchup between Iowa and Indiana. We noticed the Iowa game wasn’t on any of the 35+ visible TV’s, as most were the football game, a few on the Avs, and then a random motocross channel for a specific table - so we checked with the tables around us and agreed on a tv that would work to be changed. We relayed to our waitress, who was gracious and happy to help - and then the manager Colin came over, didn’t even say hello and very bluntly told us “nope this TV is going to be the Avs, there’s way too much going on tonight and that game (Iowa women’s bball) isn’t a priority.” This is the #2 team in the country, coming off an NCAA title game last year (that we watched at Sportsbook…) & a rematch of the big ten title and we’re supposed to be at THE bar designated for Iowa sports. The ask was for one TV. If there was an issue getting the game, anything - we could have understood. (Even though it was on Fox prime time) But to be shouted at and told the women’s game wasn’t a priority let me know this isn’t a place worth our support.

Will never come here again and have spent a lot of money here. The manager here is an absolute jerk. I think his name is Collin. He was as rude as rude can be. He just clearly wants control. Also, it’s aon the women’s game basketball game. There are 35 tvs viewable from our table with 50+ in the bar. Meanwhile he had motorcross and horse racing playing on other tvs. We asked for ONE TV to be changed and the 3 other tables around that TV didn’t care that one SMALL TV was changed to a women’s basketball game that was IOWA in an IOWA bar! Let an alone a top 15 match up and a rematch the big 10 championship from last year. I understand that football playoffs are on but we asked for ONE TV. We will be calling the alumni association to report the bar as well. He said it’s not our priority to put on the IOWA game. Don’t advise yourself as an Iowa bar if refuse to play the game. Collin needs to go. Find a new manager. Side note! Katie our waitress on the other hand was amazing! So sweet and caring. Beautiful as well. You deserve to work somewhere better girl!

Massive wings! Love their Cajun dry rub! On Tuesdays they do all you can eat wings. Great place during game days! Huge pitchers! And their green Chile burger and tots (I get the Cajun seasoning on those too) are good! Update 10/17: so been back several times. The nachos are amazing! Great pretzel bites. I will say the one disappointing item on the menu is the chicken tenders. I think Arby's chicken tenders are bigger than this and the flavor is eh lol so steer clear of those, everything else so far is great. But Sofia/Sophia was so attentive and awesome it was all good Update 11 /21: got their hangover burger, great size and delicious bacon! Got a cup of green chili too and actually had some kick! Good with a tortilla

Some of the wort bartenders out there. They wear clothes that are 6 sizes too small, and think that they are hot enough to treat customers poorly. They look like they refuse to do anything physical, and do nothing but eat cheese curds, chilly dogs, and hamburgers from the restaurant. They have acne all over their faces that they try to cover up with more makeup than a clown. While I was there, with some friends, one of these little trolls tried to sell me some sort of white powder in a very small bag, and all of them had it running down their upper lip. They were also drinking heavily on the job. There was a couple people sleeping on the bar and a table. And there was a group of 20 year olds that they were serving alcohol to. I didn’t see them ID a single person. To top it all off one of those tubby trolls tried to make me pay for another parties table as well as mine because “they just walked out, and I’m not going to get stuck with it”. When I told her that wasn’t my bill, and I had only had 3 beers, she got an attitude and yelled at me that she was going to get her manager “and we’ll just see”. The GM came out of the back a few minutes later looking disheveled and geeked out, with the same white powder coming out of his nose, and said I had to pay for everything, to which I declined, and he said I was banned…. Really not surprising this dumpster fire of a place is temporarily closed. Hopefully...

Amazing food! This place is what buffalo wild wings wishes it could be. Only complaint is staff, had to flag down every time we needed anything and if you dont ask you wont get refills, I went two days in a row because everything was amazing, but both times the staff were not great. They didn't write my groups orders down both times we went and of course messed up the order and then got vocally upset and frustrated because we didn't want to pretend she nailed it both with the beer from the first night and the food from the other, these were 2 different waitresses btw. We even tested the dont ask the waitress dont get help theory by waiting for her to come back so we could ask for the check after we asked for boxes... took 30min even though we were clearly done, then finally gave up and asked. This place is the most incredible bar but please stop over serving beer to guest so I dont have to have these drunks yelling in my ear trying to hear the game and constantly falling out of seats onto me and please waitress just check in with guest at points that clearly need service and not just wait to be flagged, and please write the order down, I know you think it looks cool but I promise there is nothing wrong with writing the order so you can reference it later for refills or be sure all details are right. Again this place is INCREDIBLE, stop going to B-Dubs and eat here, but please just more...

Stopped in hoping to catch the Mets vs. Yankees game—a classic rivalry, and a game that should be on by default in any sports bar worth its name. Mind you, it wasn’t even noon, and the place was nearly empty—less than a handful of people in the entire restaurant. I sat directly at the bar, in front of multiple TVs, and still had to wait an unreasonably long time just to be acknowledged.

When I finally got the bartender’s attention, I politely asked if she could put the Mets / Yankee game on the main TV. Her response? A flat-out refusal. Said she wouldn’t change it because of a “golf game.” A golf game. In a dead-silent bar. With no one watching.

This is exactly what’s wrong with places like this: zero effort to cater to the customer, zero interest in providing a welcoming or responsive environment, and absolutely no understanding of basic hospitality. When your restaurant is empty and you still can’t provide decent service—or even consider a reasonable request—you clearly don’t care about your patrons or their business.

I came in ready to enjoy a game, some food, and spend money. Instead, I got brushed off and ignored. If this place doesn’t want customers, they’re doing a great job of driving them away.

I won’t be returning—and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for actual service or a true sports...
