Latest review : I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant six months ago. The food was delicious and the management was friendly and polite, showing a genuine interest in their customers. However, my recent visit was quite unpleasant. The management was unprofessional and the food was not as good as before. I have reduced my rating by three stars. During this visit, the management was not attentive or friendly. They seemed to ignore our table and rushed us to place our order when we were considering trying something new from the menu. After we received our food, no one came to check on us. As we were leaving, we overheard the staff gossiping about us, which was very unprofessional. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience. The management needs to learn how to value their customers and exhibit proper ethics. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant and cannot recommend it to others. 6 months ago review : The service is quick and the staff is very polite and friendly. I tried hot n spicy chicken wings which were tender, juicy and a perfect finger-licking. Also tried chicken drunken noodles which were perfectly juicy and Large seafood Rice noodles soup which was loaded with fish, crab and prawns ball. Overall delicious and flavourful.

In my experience the best pho in the US is in Houston and in Orange County. So given that how one rate pho? Based on what's reasonably available in a locale, or based on an absolute global rating? Let's start with the strengths: Pho Lee is a very clean and practically designed facility. Service is very friendly and prompt. Menu is relatively abundant with appetizers and noodle or rice bowls to change things up if a bowl of hot noodle soup does not catch your fancy. For the pho, I ordered the steak. Broth was excellent, very clear and very clean. Flavour was deep and rich and very well done, and included a very generous amount of steak and noodles. Noodles were not bad, though did not have the texture of recent or fresh made and would be the only weakness I would call out. My inclination was to award 3 stars but the very friendly and superb service staff has me upgrading up to 4.

Update: Came back the next day with my mama. We tried a grilled beef noodle bowl and also bun bo hue and egg rolls. The bun bo hue is yummy and thankfully they don't use coagulated pigs blood, like a lot of traditional Vietnamese places do. So I was relieved to speak to the owner and they said they don't use pigs blood. And it tastes great! Will have to bring my brother too next time. Always judge a pho by the broth, before any of your condiments and toppings have been added... Mama always told me. Well, this place is legit, glad to report! Broth is authentic, noodles and meat and broth are plentiful. Customer service was great and the place was clean and spacious and well-lit.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food is good but the customer service is poor and obnoxious. I have frequented this place quite frequently over the last two years and referred many of my colleagues to the location as well because the food is great. However, each time someone has visited they have commented on the poor customer service. Today me and one of my friends visited the place for lunch. We called ahead the food wasn’t ready when we arrived. We asked for plastic bowls which we have typically only paid $0.25 a piece for. The young man who assisted us was very dismissive and didn’t hesitate to display his irritation although he was at work. We left and returned back to the office. When we returned back to the office we both began to eat our pho. While eating my pho I discovered a long jet black hair in my pho broth while eating (my hair is a very light Honey brown by the way). In disgust, I disposed of the food immediately and proceeded to call the restaurant. I called and asked to speak with a manager. The women who answered disclosed she was as the manager. I informed her of what occurred and I would like to be refunded for the food. She begun screaming (no exaggeration my peer who was sitting next to her could hear her and she was not on speaker) at the top of her lungs that she “don’t do refund” and to “bring bowl, hair and food back for money back.” I informed her I had discarded of the food and informed her that if she would not be willing to accommodate me for my experience I would inform my colleagues as well as be writing a review on her establishment. She begun yelling even lounger into the phone saying “I don’t care do what you do you not get money back do what you do.” I ended the call as I’ve never heard of a business owner or manager behave in this way towards a customer. I sent out a email to over 20 of my colleagues about the experience and a few disclosed that they had stopped frequenting the establishment because of the poor customer service as well. Sadly we will not be visiting. It doesn’t matter how good your food is if you have no respect for your customers, have no sort of customer service and can’t understand what it means to accommodate your customers for your...

I am a person who refuses to eat MSG. Because every time you eat MSG, you will feel thirsty, MSG is a chemical, long-term consumption can cause cancer. Many restaurants in Hong Kong have a specific sign: We do not use MSG! I actually never knew that all pho restaurants were using MSG. When I asked the cashier if they had added MSG to the beef soup, he actually said, "We will definitely add MSG to the big pot of soup, so every bowl of beef soup has MSG, if you can't accept this, please don't eat here, please go to find a restaurant that doesn't put MSG." I have never seen such a rude, uncultured and bossy answer. I simply don't understand why it is acceptable for Americans to drink this soup with chemicals in it?? Daaaaaa! The Americans don't know that the food they're eating at this restaurant contains the chemical monosodium glutamate, right? I won't be going to this restaurant again anyway!! If I could give this restaurant a negative score, I would give it a negative 100. Because their employees are very arrogant and don't smile at all. I've actually been here many times over the last two years, and one time my friend invited me to dinner and he gave the waiter a $40 tip. But they really let me down! I want to remind all Americans to stop eating pho because their beef soup is not really beef soup and wonder how much MSG and flavoring they put with cancer-causing chemicals that can cause you a lot of diseases and...

I’m Vietnamese, and grew up with three generations of chefs. I also ran a very popular food blog in Denver for the better part of a decade.

  1. the pho here is good! It’s genuine, authentic, doesn’t contain MSG (from what I can tell and I’m sensitive AF) and it has good flavor and GIANT portions.

  2. the service is wonderful. Our waitress was a sweet older Vietnamese woman and she reminded me so much of my mom. If you think her tone is sharp (like some of the comments), it’s just her Vietnamese accent. (Yes some of the other reviews are that ignorant). PS - when it comes time to pay, walk up to the front to cash out. They don’t come to your table to collect payment. This is pretty common for Pho restaurants but I can see how some people may not know this.

  3. I’m writing this because the 1000+ good reviews are from Asian people and others who know their pho. The bad reviews are from ridiculous Karens and Chads who say dumb things like “I went to this pho restaurant and the pad Thai and Orange Chicken were horrible.” (That’s the equivalent of going to a Mexican restaurant and being mad that the lasagna isn’t “authentic”.)

This restaurant has high reviews because they deserve it. I will definitely be back!! (Specifically for the filet mignon and...
