Wendy's — Restaurant in Gurnee

The food was great I just didn’t like the workers playing around. I’ve never had an issue coming here in the past. I prefer this over the one in Waukegan, but it seems like the Night Shift is only there for playtime. I ordered a kids meal and two things from the menu which were combos. I was handed all of the drinks and I was given a large drink for the kids meal. I just thought maybe my meal was upgraded from the kids meal too the adult meal that was OK Upon driving from the drive-through. I realized that they didn’t give fries or anything so I knocked on the door, which was locked and that’s OK. I believe the establishment locks the door at a certain time went through the drive-through and I told the young girl that she made a mistake on my order I ordered the kids meal she said no you didn’t you ordered nuggets and a drink I said no and I repeated it twice and you repeated it back to me. I told her can you just refund me for what you charge me for and I’ll give you back the food and she said no I’ll just give it to you and when I came by she gave me extra everything with an attitude. It’s nothing wrong with admitting that you’ve done something or you made a mistake. We all make mistakes but don’t get an attitude about it. They’re so busy playing around inside that they don’t have time to get orders correctly and I know this because I saw the young man and they’re playing with the mop and they were all playing. I’ve seen this a lot with the establishments when there’s no supervisors on duty you need...

Worst experience I’ve ever had here… I placed a mobile order and pulled into the drive through… 3 cars in line and I waited for 12 min before being able to pull up to the speaker to check in for my pick up. Couldn’t back up and go in because there were vehicles behind me so I was stuck waiting.

After checking in at the ordering screen I proceeded to wait an additional 8-10 min before getting to the window…. They hand me a drink and tell me to pull around to the parking lot and they would bring out my meal, said they had no fried made…. So I pulled around and parked, waiting an additional 8 min before the food was brought out. I bite into the sandwich and it’s ice cold, clearly the sandwich was packaged and waiting for fries….yet the fries were pretty cold as well…. Not sure what’s going on here at 2 pm on a Saturday but definitely not short staffed I counted at least 6 people working front of house…where’s the leadership’s where’s the customer service where are the...

Twice I have ordered from this restaurant using the app and both times the food has been messed up. I ordered a double stack customized with mayo and ketchup. No mustard, no onion, no pickle and the other one was a regular double stack. Add lettuce tomato. Neither one of them were correct. Everything was mixed up on both of them. There was mustard and mayo on one along with pickles and onions and the other one just had ketchup and lettuce and tomato. Beyond that everything is cold and they had to wait a while for it. So it doesn't make sense to me why any of it's cold because it's not that far of a drive. The last time something was askew with the food and I know a frosty was missing. I'm sure they'll reach out and offer me free food again, but that's not the point. Pay attention to what you're doing.
