Goody's Deli & Pub — Restaurant in Hampton

So bummed to have a bad experience here after reading great reviews. We came with a group and sat outside. Started with one server that didn’t know what was on the beer menu, abruptly had a new server take over after putting our orders in. She had no idea what we were drinking or what had been ordered. 9 meals came out over the span of 20 minutes with our two years olds’ grilled cheese coming out last with our appetizer. Unfortunately, the umbrellas provided no shade and we were blasted by the sun and accosted by flies the entire meal. I was at an all- day event down the street, decided to walk over to Goody’s for lunch. Place is a total dive bar, which I love. Not very crowded at all, easy to get a spot at the bar for a to-go order. Quick service with the menu. I ended up getting the hot pastrami, as well as the Texan for a friend. Served with come slaw and a bag of chips, the price was $13.95. I wasn’t expecting much, honestly.

But wow, that was a fantastic sandwich, one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, piled way high with pastrami and melted Swiss. Incredible sandwich, incredible value.

Very nice Deli Pub and downtown Old Hampton on Queensway Mall. Outdoor seating available as well as high top tables and bar stools inside. Very nice and efficient bartender taking care of the outside tables. Service was fast an accurate and very nice. Food was great I had the Reuben and we also had the pulled BBQ chicken. Lots of people on Queensway mall with the live entertainment on a Friday night. I would highly recommend it if you're tied up at the Docks in front of the Landmark Hotel....
