The restaurant isn't very large and fills capacity quickly during prime eating times. As the focus seems to be hibachi, there is usually a bit of a wait when ordering off the menu. However, it is fresh and delicious. The portions are smaller in comparison to other sushi restaurants, but unsure of the portion sizes with the Hibachi because we have yet to enjoy that part of the restaurant. Overall, the experience was good, and I look forward to it next visit. Update: We have had the Hibachi the last three visits. This last time, we were told it would be a very long wait to fill a table for Hibachi, so we sat in the dining area. It is a two table section alongside the sushi station. We waited 15 minutes for service after being seated. The restaurant was busy. We ordered enough food for lunch, a snack later, and leftovers for lunch tomorrow! We wanted a little of everything this visit. Our soup arrived quickly and was served hot and was very tasty. Shortly after, we received our salad, appetizers, and main course of Hibachi all at the same time. We also ordered sushi later than our initial order, and that arrived within a minute of the delivery of everything else. Everything was very good. The spring rolls had the perfect amount of crunch and soft you would want. We ordered one vegetable and one pork. They were served with thai sweet chili sauce and were delicious! The Philadelphia roll was bland. The Volcan roll was delicious. A little too much mayo but overall yummy. The Hibachi portion size was pretty small, considering the price. We both ordered shrimp and chicken hibachi. It was smaller than what we are served when seated at the hibachi table. It was good, just too much of some sort of sauce, maybe teriyaki on top of everything. The vegetables are my favorite, and again, a very small portion size in comparison when seated at the table. The salad is always fresh and good. The service is friendly and attentive. There are usually an overwhelming number of customers that table service is slighted compared to sitting at a hibachi table. My daughter always orders Ramune to drink, which is a nice treat but twice the price we pay...
Read moreThe food was tasty and the service was great but otherwise this place was dead, not very clean, and looks like minimal effort has been put in to maintain it.
We arrived during the dinner rush and there were no other customers but us. We were seated at a table by a kind greater, only to find that the table was covered in streaks and smudges of old food sauce. The waiter hurriedly cleaned it up and we ordered drinks.
Please don't drink the tea here. They don't filter their water and they over sweeten it artificially. And I'm from the south, I love sweet tea and this was way too sweet.
The Hibachi cook made our food with little to no entertainment or interaction as if he was more focused on going through the motions. But he was the only other staff member we saw besides the waiter. The steak was also a bit over cooked making it more like terriyaki jerky.
I went to the bathroom half way through the meal and found the ladies restroom in disarray. The signs are falling off, parts of the doors are falling off, trash and dirt in corners despite several trash cans in the room, the soap dispenser had soap in it but it wouldn't spit out the soap.
To quote my son, this bathroom looks like the one from Freddy Fazzbears Pizza!
Also, don't look in either of the kitchen areas as you walk back into the dining room, just don't. Unless you are a health inspector, then please go LOOK.
Overall, tasty food, nice waiter, but we...
Read moreOver $200 for this bunch of tripe? Two adults and three kids...over $200? A family of five and they tacked on a 20% "tip" because we were a "party of five"... Unbelievable. The "steak" had to be less than a 1/4 pound and it was tough. What exactly is this cut? Pounds and pounds of fried rice...I'd rather have more meat. The food was just that, food. Nothing exactly to be remembered. If I had to pick a word, blasé.
Finally, I sat at the entrance to the area where the food is cooked. The employee entered the area and pulled a cart in behind him. I wish I had looked at the cart before I ate. This cart was filthy. There was evidence of something black in every corner of this cart. I've no idea what it was, dirt, grease, food...who knows. It was gross. There was raw food laying on the shelves of the cart. This would be a health inspectors' nightmare.
I find it rather ironic the images online depict this place bright, clean...even beautiful when the truth is, well...I was taught to not say anything bad if I could not say anything good. This was our first visit. This will be our only visit. Our "family" of five will never darken this doorstep again. Think about that before you tack on a 20% party of five charge. We're not a party,...
