I placed an order online this afternoon at 12:08 pm. The confirmation said that it would be ready at 12:45 pm. It was just two salads, but during lunch rush, so it was fine. I had an errand to run before anyway, and I'd have time to get the order home before my next appointment. I arrived at the restaurant at 12:37 pm and went to the bar. The bartender went to the kitchen to check on it. He returned, telling me they were working on it and it would be just a couple of minutes. No problem - I was early anyway. I started getting antsy at 12:55 pm. He went back to the kitchen and came back a couple of minutes later, telling me that there was a problem in the kitchen and it may be a while. I told him I had somewhere to be and, given it was already 10 minutes late, I needed to cancel the order and wanted a refund. He went to get the manager. Jamie, the manager, asked if there was any way I could wait, as if my schedule was irrelevant. I said no. She asked if they could make the order and I could pick it up after my appointment. I explained that it was my lunch, I was hungry, and it wouldn't help me to have it later. I again requested a refund. She smiled, said she was sorry and asked my name. I walked out of there at 1 pm. It is now almost 4:30 and the charge for the order is still pending on my card. There is no credit pending.
There are lots of things I have issue with here: If there was a problem in the kitchen when I placed the order, they could have called or texted me to let me know. They didn't.
If there was a problem in the kitchen when I arrived 8 minutes early, they could have told me then. They didn't.
If the problem occurred while I was waiting, they could have told me immediately so I could make adjustments. They didn't.
While I waited, other food was coming out of the kitchen.
I don't want to speculate on what was really going on, but I don't appreciate not being informed about a delay as soon as possible, nor the condescending way I was talked to when I decided to cancel and leave.
If I don't see a credit by this time tomorrow, I'll be calling my bank and reporting the charge as fraudulent. At this point, it's theft for them to take my money.
While I've never had a bad meal there, I will not return if this is how they treat their customers. If your time if valuable, I caution you to...

My sister and I ordered the bistro burger, I ordered mine substituted with a Buffalo patty instead of beef
The server asked my sister how she wanted her meat cooked but not me, however since we were so busy catching up from her trip from Dallas to Nashville I didn’t think to ask or tell the server why she didn’t ask me foolishly thinking it would just come well done.
After we got the food I cut the burger and noticed half of it was still Pink not cooked, then it dawned on me that the same server that I ordered this same burger from before didn’t ask me how I wanted it cooked so this was the second time I received an Under Cooked Buffalo burger
After only eating the cooked portion I did show the server that it was not cooked completely and she said she would let the cook know, No concern or offer to remove the charge or even half the charge for the burger, nor did she apologize and say she would get the manager indicating that it was unacceptable she left and brought me the check.
Once outside I called to speak to the manager and Mr Brian the manager stated to me I should have asked for him so they could have re made a new burger Mr manager also started to me that Buffalo burgers were cooked one way med well so they don’t ask the customer how they want the Buffalo meat cooked
I found that to sound very odd considering I’ve been living in the area for over a year I’ve been to Jonathan’s several times and ordered that burger subbing with Buffalo and never once not had a server not all me how I wanted it cooked, now all of a sudden it’s not up to the customer to get the Buffalo patty cooked that way they want until now?
I would really like an owner or corporate member to explain this to me as I can’t see that is good practice considering med well is served half cooked I didn’t think serving undercooked food in a restaurant as acceptable because it’s not for me Luv.

Read moreVisiting Hendersonville from Georgia. This place pops up on Uber Eats open late with many options like a diner. The first night I ordered black bean burger with fries And kale crunch salad. I was happy to see these options with no meat. The kale salad was too raw for me as the broccoli and brussels sprouts are too raw tasting. Maybe the kale salad should be tossed in the dressing. I sautéed it and it turned out great. The black bean burger was fair and the fries were good considering it was delivered. Great packaging. I was still wanting something else, but I didn’t see a dessert liked.
The next night, I was trying to order from somewhere else, but this place popped up again and had the most options compared to the regular American brand stores. This place is still American style typical but large selection open later than others. I got the steak and potatoes with onion rings and Brussels. The side salad & dressing isn’t all that and wish I could’ve omitted the cheese. I appreciate the dark green leaves as opposed to iceberg lettuce as other places serve. my Brussels were burnt, see picture. Onion rings look great, but that batter is still thick, and I would love to taste more of the onion. The steak and potatoes were seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly and delicious. Overall I appreciate the options and service and would recommend this place for someone needing a decent bite. Fair pricing. I wasn’t wowed by any one item in particular or neither am I raving. This place could be elevated with more unique food options, vegetarian options and continue to elevate the options they have. if you order the wrong thing, you could give this place three star, but in my opinion, they were closer to four for American Fast Bar...
