The reviews on here must be from the owners because this place is horrendous. Its too bad because the building and space is really nice. You want to love it when you walk in. The problem is the food is brutal and the coffee os weak. One size only , which I think was 12oz and your paying for what you would get 20oz for at Starbucks. I a had an americano which litterally tasted like hot water. The burrito was inedible. I'm pretty sure they don't have a kitchen if everything seemed the microwave. The potatoes and the egg we're pretty much pre-packaged. Greedo rapper basically stuck to the paper car and they gave you and I couldn't even eat more than a couple bites. Not to mention the potatoes with cold so they are obviously Frozen before. Who is just horrible. If you're going to have a nice little coffee shop like that either make food or to serve pastries. It's a shame because it's a really nice place but she probably sell it to someone who would do a better job.
I type as good as you cook. If you make your food fresh then you need to buy better ingredients because it was horrible. If you finish it off on a panini grill then it wouldn't stick to the cardboard food tray you serve it in with the cheap plastic fork that can't even penetrate it. The coffee you serve is tasteless. The 20oz I get from just about any other coffee bar has 4 shots . Yours has 2 in a 12 oz cup for the same price. No big deal if it tasted like decent espresso and not folgers. Ive read some of your replies and you should stick to boiling the burritos because answering criticism isn't you strong suite. Basically saying your food sucks because we are a coffee shop isn't a great excuse. If you cant...
Read moreThe only dark spot in a beautiful weekend in Hermann. It looks like a lovely and cozy spot, we were very much looking forward to it. My husband and I found the two young people working to be unecessarily pretentious. I was made to feel completely ignorant while ordering a macchiato and then denied the additions I wanted to purchase. I understand what a macchiato is that is why I ordered it. We decided to take our coffee to go, skip lunch there and both wished we would have tried one of the other coffee shops in town. The espresso was burnt and not enjoyable. While we were mesmerized with the town itself, this place stands out like a sore thumb. Furthermore, the unprofessional responses from the owner on some of the reviews is surprising to me. As a business owner, this is an opportunity for much needed feedback. Reply to business owner: I wanted a little hazelnut syrup added as offered for 50 cents. There was no confusion, the young man flat refused so I just said I would take it as it comes. And with your response once again pointing to the customer being uneducated, I can see where the poor...
Read moreOur Roma salad was absolutely phenomenal, and the pour over coffee was great.
Mainly, I just got to say, charging paying customers for water feels like the wrong line to draw on the sand. Our barista was nice enough to "let it slide" and gave me some water in a for here cup, which I totally appreciate, but it's a bummer they put her in that position in the first place. I get that they're super busy and not in a position to wash dishes, and I get that there's a supply issue on cups, but it's summer in Missouri, not everyone wants to drink bottled water for a number of reasons (myself included), we spent $40 on breakfast here, and charging for water just feels icky. There's got to be a workaround, like getting those cheap paper cone cups at the very least, or some other option. I worked somewhere as a teenager that charged for water too, it was Burger King. And it felt terrible to have to tell customers that. But I would definitely expect a cozy neighborhood coffee shop to have better customer service standards than...
