Phone ordered my drink ahead of time. I ordered a honey oolong milk tea, with 30% sweetness and light ice, no toppings. Came in to pick it up and my drink looked a little dark so I asked the worker if it was oolong and he said 'yeah'. I figured maybe I'm having an off day and the guy works here so he must know what he's talking about. I order the same drink all the time and it's a pretty simple order. Went outside took a sip and walked right back in and had mentioned to the worker that it wasn't oolong. He said okay I'll remake it. Got my drink and the cup was filled almost all the way with ice. Probably about an inch was no ice. I asked if it was made with light ice and they said yeah.
This whole situation was frustrating because my first drink was messed up. If a customer asks if the drink is correct at least double check instead of saying yeah when clearly the customer thinks the drink was made incorrectly. I would've been much happier if the drink was remade the first time instead of me having to walk back inside after I just asked if the drink was the right one. Then I got my drink and the cup was almost all ice. Not coming back even though they give a nice military/first responders discount. Not a good experience. Id much rather pay a dollar more to go to another tea spot and not have up to spend ten minutes going back and forth about...
Read moreHaving moved nearby, Sharetea has become my go-to boba spot even more frequently than before. There's a lot of drinks to try with different topping combos-- you can even substitute toppings listed for a specific drink with whatever else you prefer. (I'm looking at you, Ice Blended Matcha with Red Bean... 🤣) And if something isn't vibing with you, I'm sure they'll gladly suggest and make you a new drink that you'll like.
Service is always quick and straightforward-- I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with staff "looking like they hate it there" or that they expect some fine dining experience; I've seen them be very receptive to any customers who have questions, but otherwise are just there to say "Hey, here's your boba. Have a good day!" and that's good enough for a vet like me.
PS: I also want to address that one review that complained "the boba was warm," as if they were unaware that is how boba is actually made, lol. Skill issue? Maybe try mixing your drink...
Read moreBizarre customer service. A week ago we tried to come in time, before closing (8pm due to COVID) got there a bit after 8, not knowing the hours for sure. The door was locked but people inside. No problem. Tried to come back again tonight. Support the local businesses etc. Arrived at 7:57 to find a lot of people with their drinks outside and 2 customers in line and the door open. Great! Not great. Upon trying to stand in line we were informed they will be closing at 8 and therefore the woman in line ahead of us was the last they would be serving. Maybe they make everyone clock out at 8 on the dot whether there are paying customers there or not, but in all the food service jobs I've ever had, we kept the doors open a few minutes after closing to serve all we could.
It's no a huge deal. The coffee shop Ava Roasteriea across the street is fantastic and there are several other bubble tea shops nearby we will go to...
