Hi Aloha Sails,

This review is intended with our experience for both companies as we were told by the gentleman over the phone, that you both are sister companies.

We’re disappointed to say our cruise was cancelled on us. Initially, we received a message from Aloha Sails at 2:00 p.m. informing us that our cruise had been upgraded to an additional 30-minute ride. However, at 7:00 p.m., a different company (Pink Sails) sent us an email stating that they would issue us a refund for our canceled cruise, which we had booked two months in advance.

When we tried to contact both the companies, their solution was to suggest that we book a snorkelling trip instead. They didn’t seem apologetic at all over the phone and we had to call both companies several times before they finally answered.

I feel for those who have had a bad experience with them. I am leaving this review here so that tourists can be warned. We completely understand things happen, and cancellations sometimes are unavoidable. But I would just like tourists to know that they should not revolve their trip around this business. The other company they referred us to is not a reliable business. They have really rude service and their google review replies are really hurtful. This does not show the love and Aloha that Hawaiian culture is meant to spread.

Update: We had a Pink Sails manager give us a call and basically asked us to remove the review. Over the phone the lady stated how they are two separate companies and have no association with one another but still both didn't make an initiative to call and inform their customers, instead sent us a email issuing a refund- "your booking has been cancelled, you've been refunded" isn't something you want to be reading after booking 2 months in advance. And the affiliation between the two companies showcases how they could have found a solution as they are in fact a partner of Aloha sails. View screenshot below of pink sails owner proving the association details... Thanks I...

I went on the Friday Night Fireworks catamaran ride. I am a local. The small boat provides an intimate setting for about twentyish people. Captains Mo and Brian are fun, friendly, and have a great sense of humor. Cheryl and Mike were on the ball with check-ins. They even accommodated a couple that missed their boat ride from the business next door!

At first I was worried that I would get seasick on this small boat, but it wasn't the case (I took a homeopathic remedy that seemed to have helped.). It was a little choppy that night. I felt comfortable on the boat–it was safe, I had fun with friends, and I made new friends that were celebrating anniversaries and their Hawaii vacations. The Waikiki fireworks were stunning. I enjoyed a fun bevy on the boat.

Tip: Get there with ample time to find parking and in case that there is unexpected traffic. There is affordable paid parking nearby. Ask the business on suggestions where to park as they are more than helpful. Also, use the restroom at the Prince Hotel lobby next to the retail store before the sail, as there are no toilets on the boat. (P.S. There's also coffee and a bar at that same lobby.) Don't forget to tip the crew if they did a great job–typically 20% of full retail price, so about $20 as of...

Aloha Sails Waikiki made our wedding celebration absolutely unforgettable. We booked a private cruise with Cheryl and her amazing crew, and it was worth every penny. The process was seamless, from the easy online booking to their flexibility in letting us bring our own food and drinks.

The boat was spacious and comfortable—none of that "packed like sardines" feeling you get with some other charters. It felt relaxed and exclusive, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the breathtaking views. Diving off the side of the boat was an absolute blast, and having snorkels and floats available made exploring the crystal-clear water even better.

The sunset sail back to the marina was pure magic. With Diamond Head in the background and even a double rainbow during our trip, it felt like a scene straight out of a postcard. The crew’s aloha spirit and friendly service really stood out—they answered every question with a smile and made sure we felt completely at ease throughout.

If you're looking for a memorable way to celebrate a special occasion, Aloha Sails Waikiki is unbeatable. We’ll definitely be booking with them again for future...

We had the best time on this fireworks cruise 😁 Captain Mo, First Mate Tara, and LD (Little Dog) were the best hosts and LD was cute!! Thank you for this great experience!!

We had a picture‑perfect day out on the water with Aloha Sails Waikiki and I can’t recommend this snorkeling trip enough. From the moment we checked in, the crew made everyone feel welcome and excited for the adventure ahead. The ride out was half the fun—sitting up front meant catching a few salty splashes as we bumped over playful waves, but the laughter it sparked set the tone for the whole outing. The captain found a calm, crystal‑clear spot and gave us more than enough time to explore. The crew kept a watchful eye while still giving us plenty of freedom, so we never felt rushed back aboard. The boat does have a restroom (a nice reassurance), though I never needed it thanks to the smooth, well‑timed itinerary. After everyone was back on deck, we took a leisurely cruise around the coastline before heading in—it was so relaxing none of us wanted the day to end. Beautiful weather, a fun ride, attentive crew, and plentiful time in the water made this excursion a standout. If you’re looking for an easygoing, wildlife‑rich snorkeling adventure, hop aboard—you’ll be planning your next trip before you even dock.
