Three Tiki Sailing — Local services in Honolulu

We recently had the pleasure of going on our first Tiki Sailing tour, and it exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at ease and welcome. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share the experience with us, which made all the difference for first-timers like us.

The boat itself was absolutely stunning – a vibrant tiki-inspired vessel that immediately set the tone for a fun, relaxed afternoon on the water. We had plenty of space to spread out, and the gentle sailing along the coast was both peaceful and exhilarating. The scenery was breathtaking, with panoramic views of the ocean, coastline, and even a stunning sunset as we cruised.

What really stood out to us, though, was how the crew went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They took the time to explain everything about the boat and the route, and were always nearby to answer questions or offer a drink from their fully stocked bar. They really helped create a laid-back, enjoyable atmosphere, which made our first sailing experience memorable.

We attended the whale watching tour our of Waikiki area. Unfortunately we didnt see any whales. But the team could not have helped that. They were all nice and the boat was clean and were able to enjoy a beautiful view of the island and get to be out at sea. The reason for the lower stars was the lack of interaction and communication by the team. We sat there for 2 hrs looking for whales. They would check to make sure if you were ok or offer a water. However, there was no information provided regarding the whales or why they come to this area. Any information regarding sites or landmarks. People were getting bored and looking on their phones. I think you can make the best of things when mother nature is not cooperating at least make the 2 hr experience informative and share information and knowledge as it relates to history of area or the whales and their migration to Hawaii during this time. Would have made the trip a bit worthwhile to use this opportunity to learn something. I didn like the smaller boat vs the other tour company had much larger boat. Was disappointed by lack of service. Again cant help if whales cooperate but can try and make the...

What a great time we had! It was as smooth of a sail as we could have had with some choppy waves and a beautiful day. The staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful! We had a five year old who was very nervous to snorkel and Jack one of the guys on board got on his level to really help him feel safe just being on the boat and about snorkeling. While he wasn’t ready to snorkel, they made sure he felt great just enjoying his time on the boat too. A thing to note for young kids too is they did offer for him to ride on the surfboard and/or the float attached to the board with the lifeguard/boat crew which I thought was really great!

I did go out into the water and we stayed in our group, but they did a great job at waiting for everyone and making sure we had lots of time in the water and taking us around to find a turtle to view.

The sail after the snorkel was a great surprise! We had booked through our hotel and had no idea we would be going for a little sail on the way back. It was so fun to see them putting the sails up and maneuvering while we soaked up the sun and sat in the nets.
