HONEST REVIEW: Make sure you call ahead. I live around the corner and go here all the time. The food is good, chicken sandwich is fire (get it 9/10times) and can’t be beat for 6.99 with curly fries if you want poke go to coco cove. Grocery store is a bit pricy but that’s Waikiki for you. The main issue is the wait time. If you do the to go order you will have to wait in line for 20+ min, if you call ahead give yourself at least 5-10min to get through the line because they will keep your order at the register to pay and it gets busy during peak. Also they don’t always answer their phones which is annoying. I’ve called in store, heard it ring and the lady just ignored it. I asked her about it when I got to the register and she acted like she didn’t hear it so I called in front of her and the phone rang right behind her. Little bit of a D move but totally worth the awkward look on her face.

Summary: food 8/10 Service 5/10 Wait 5/10 Price 6/10 (depending on...

This is one of many small places for souvenirs, light groceries, and essentials, but it also has a pretty nice little deli-style eatery. They have hot food like stew, chicken, veggies, mashed potatoes, etc., and they also have prepped flatbread pizzas that don't take long for them to bake. They have pre-prepped poke, sushi, and salads, same as at the ABC stores. They also have an awesome gelato counter and a bakery. I had been running around Honolulu with my teenage daughters, and they were very happy to split a pretty big flatbread cheese pizza for $8.99. There's not much seating--maybe only five or so small cafe tables. While we were there, they had a special on hot spam musubi for $2, and that was fun to try! Pretty tasty! Delicious gelato, though just as pricey as at other locations. Staff were so nice. Considering how expensive it is for a family to eat at any restaraunt, it was a relief to find this place where my teens...

As my friends and I left a neighboring biz and headed to the Stix food hall, we came upon this establishment called Duke's Lane, located along Kuhio Avenue. I have no idea what used to be here before but it's a fairly large space. Come to find out, this was the brainchild of ABC Stores. They've been coming out with some nifty stores, including their Island Gourmet Markets on Maui and Oahu which are fancy ABC Stores with fresh food options.

ATMOSPHERE: The interior is a combination grocery store and food court. On one side are the sundries, vendors on the other and tables in the middle. Fret not as it's not your run-of-the-mill ABC Store with awful fluorescent lights and tacky tourist junk. Décor is modern and dark like a trendy city restaurant.

OVERALL: A nice and convenient addition to the plethora of dining options already...

This store actually has like several smaller shops in here. There is the Spitfire Grill that has so many options ranging from Flatbread pizzas, Burgers, chicken of several types and even Poke. If you are not looking for that, there is a little bakery there with a bunch of options to choose from, but they are kind of pricey. Don't want that, there is an area that has stuff like coffee, Li Hing drinks, acai bowls, some pastry items and even some ice cream. Not finding that to your liking, there is the sit down restaurant called Basalt. I did not try this but it seemed to be constantly busy. Then there is the store itself. You can buy several items here. Need a drink, they have those. Need chips and snacks, they have those as well.

AVOID THIS PLACE - THEY MIGHT KILL SOMEONE WITH ALLERGIES I bought a beef burger and fries from here, and towards the end of my meal I noticed that there was something else in the fries, after looking closer I realised that these were discarded shrimp tails in with my fries. I hate seafood so I now feel sick that I might have eaten some of these. I went back to the staff to ask what they were and she confirmed they were pieces of shrimp, but couldn’t care less that they were in my food. She just shrugged her shoulders like it didn’t matter and didn’t even apologise, but a person with a shellfish allergy could have died. If you have any concerns about allergies I would strongly advise you to go somewhere else.
