I was craving a shrimp burger. Googled it and Hi Burger pops up. Ordered 2 each, along with the onion rings, truffle fries, and 2 plantation ice tea with pineapple cream. WOW!! YUM!! The chef/owners really care about the food they make and you can taste the quality and flavor.
I was expecting a ground shrimp patty but discovered that the shrimp is kept whole and formed into a patty. And there’s a lot of shrimp in every bite. It actually made it more textural and exciting to eat. First bite is crispy from the panko and the 2nd bite is plump, juicy shrimps. The wasabi sauce was not too spicy, more like an hot mustard or horseradish. It was balanced well with the mayo spread. The bread was sweet and sturdy enough to hold the shrimp patty.
The Plantation Ice Tea and the Peanut Butter Shake was so good. It was a refreshing drink and a dessert. We came here on our first night and on our last night on the island.
The staff were super cool & grateful. Hi Burger deserves all...
Read moreThis is a hole in the wall Burger Joint if you blink you'll miss it but I got to say they did a really good burger. I ordered a plain cheeseburger and since I'm Celiac I asked if they had a gluten-free bun they did have a gluten-free bun but they don't always have them so be aware of that. If they don't have a gluten-free bun they will do a lettuce wrap. They weren't too knowledgeable about cross-contamination but if you explain it to them they got it and they made sure my Burger was prepared properly. Unfortunately they do not have a dedicated gluten-free fryer but that's pretty much normal and so not something I would hold against them. Now as to the Burger it was perfectly cooked medium/medium rare, the cheese was perfectly melted, overall a delicious Burger 5 out of 5. Parking is a bit of a pain but if you order to go you can park on the side of the street for a couple minutes without getting any hassle. Otherwise this is definitely a...
Read moreThis place caught my attention as I walked down the street. It seems that they grind their own beef and form their own patties, all from scratch. When I saw that through the window, I definitely had to give it a try. I ordered the pineapple burger. The burger had a lot of fat, which I prefer. Lean ground beef has its purpose, but I'm glad they didn't use it for burgers here. This burger was very juicy and full of flavor. I also like that they only cooked it to medium well. I could honestly eat here again and again. The cashier was doing double duty the day I went, having to also run a shaved ice counter at the other end of the food court. Even with her double duties, she kept both lines moving. It's a very small food court with limited seating. I couldn't give the atmosphere 5 stars because of the over powering stench of people smoking weed outside. I know it isn't the restaurant's fault but maybe put up some fans to circulate the...
