🍦🍰 Lappert’s at Hilton Hawaiian Village – This Ain’t Ice Cream... It’s a Spiritual Awakening 🌺🔥
OH. MY. GOD. Let me just say it loud and clear—Lappert’s is the SHEET. Yes, I said what I said. This place delivers an ice cream and bakery experience so good it’ll have your taste buds writing thank-you notes.
Tucked inside the Hilton Hawaiian Village, this spot is a slice of dessert heaven you need to visit whether you’re staying at the resort or just passing through. From the moment you step up and see those tubs of handcrafted, ultra-creamy goodness, you know you’re in for something special. No ordinary scoops here, folks—this is art you eat.
The Kauai Pie flavor? Shut the front door. Coffee ice cream, coconut, chocolate fudge, AND macadamia nuts?! That combo deserves its own holiday. Every bite is a tropical explosion that basically sings “aloha” in four-part harmony 🎶🌴. And if you’re smart enough to go for the fresh waffle cone—crispy, warm, and made on-site—congrats, you’ve officially entered dessert enlightenment.
But wait, we’re not done. The bakery items? Criminally underrated. Cookies, muffins, pastries—they’re all as amazing as the ice cream. You think you're just stopping in for a scoop and suddenly you're walking out with a bag of warm cookies and zero regrets 🍪😎.
And the service? Always smiling, always patient—even when I’m standing there wide-eyed like a kid in a candy store trying to decide between 15 flavors. Never rushed, never short, just good vibes and sugar highs.
Whether it’s your first stop or a nightly ritual while you’re in Waikiki, Lappert’s is a MUST. This isn’t just dessert. This is a moment. A memory. A Maui-made miracle in a cone. 🌈🍦
💯 10/10. Don’t question it—just go. And bring napkins. You’re gonna...
Read moreI was vacationing with my family. Our time here was only for a few days then we had to return home (So Cal). One of the places I had to go to was LAPPERTS since it is a Hawaiian staple. I Googled the store hours and it said it would be open to 10pm (12/28/2022). When I arrived around 9:30pm, there was the sign posted saying they would close at 9pm due to short staffing. I'm sorry to hear you are short staffed, but look what time you open......7am! Who other than me would show up to have ice cream at 7am? Management of THIS STORE, I can telll you that the several minutes I was there, at least a dozen people were as disappointed as I was that YOU were NOT OPEN. If I managed this store, I would;'ve been there scooping ice cream. You have visitors from outside of Hawaii coming to have a taste of your ice cream and I would think many want to end their evening with some fine Lapperts ice cream like I wanted to. WE did our due dilligence checking when you were closing, but apparently you DID NOT by not updating your hours. Putting the sign up was a nice gesture, but come on, only people walking by would notice and if they did, they would go in a get a scoop or two of ice cream. I honestly should give you NO STARS, but your ice cream is good and I shouldn't punish the company because you're...
Read moreThis ice cream place really doesn’t need a review. If you drop by anytime in the evening you’re going to see a line wrapping around the building that speaks for itself. People wait in line to get some ice cream from Leppert’s that’s how good it is. I ended up visiting on a day that I didn’t have to wait in line and that was my last day in Hawaii. I knew I had to try the ice cream, I just hadn’t had the opportunity. On this day, I didn’t have to wait in line and I got to explore all the flavors that are available. They have a lot of tropical options and a lot of classic favorites. The indoor space is just how you would expect an ice cream parlor to be. I ended up getting the mango flavor which was a combination of mango ice cream, gelato and mango chunks. It was absolutely dreamy. I’m still dreaming about this ice cream I wish I could get another scoop. If you weren’t in the mood for ice cream you could also get coffee and coffee for home. It was really a wonderful experience and I can’t...
