Service was horrible for us. We went to this place for dinner with a friend and it was our first time there. The place was crowded at the time. One group was ahead of us. The young lady who was at the counter asked us to order food before heading to allocate a table. We asked for the menu, and she gave it to us. We went through it while waiting arrea and decided what we wanted to order in about three minutes. At the time, the young lady was not at the counter, but little old lady was there taking orders to go. While we were waiting, the group behind us approached another worker, and they got tables. At the time, several tables were available, and we still was patient and were the first in the line. Then another group of people came behind us and talked to the young server, and they got a table. Since I didn't see the young lady, i approached the young server and asked us for a table. He asked us to wait. Then, i saw the young lady we talked to earlier, and went to her and told her that we are still waiting for a table. Then she took us for a table and she left. The other two servers were taking orders, and we were waiting for our server for about 10 minutes. Since we were there for about 20 minutes, i asked another server to take our orders, but he just ignored us. After a few minutes, our server young lady came with water. I asked her why she was ignoring us to take our orders. She told us, raising her voice, i asked you what you wanted at the counter, but you didn't tell me at the time. And then she purposely spilled the water on our table. She didn't even apologize. I took my phone and took a picture. She said to me, "Are you going to record me?" and left without cleaning the table properly. We had to ask another server to clean the water. Once we made payment, another lady server came to us and asked to leave, and we left.
What a horrible experience we had in Honolulu as a first...
Read moreI try not to leave negative reviews for food places, but the food from this place is awful. We were so disappointed. We've been in Waikiki for a week and have ordered from somewhere every single night and this is the only place I felt needed a negative review. We ordered through Uber Eats and the dishes were pricey (which is to be expected for the location), but for the price the portions you receive are laughable. I bought the lamb boti kebab and it was literally 4 small chunks of overcooked and dried out lamb on a bed of unflavored cabbage and a lemon slice. That's it! You'd expect it to be on a bed of rice or atleast moist and not hard to chew for $24. The naan wasn't flavorful at all. Literally just tasted like chewy bread with garlic on it. We paid $12 for regular non-spicy wings and got 5 tiny spicy wings, definitely not worth the price. I understand this is Waikiki and things are expensive, but this place is a total rip off and the portions don't come close to matching the price. The flavor on several items is non-existent. If you like dried out meat that's hard to chew let alone swallow, this is the place for you. If you have multiple people to feed and you're looking for flavor and a bang for your buck, this is NOT the place. Maybe it's because it was a delivery and not an in-store customer, but the food was terrible and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I gave 2 stars because they did cook it and get it to the...
Read more10/10!!!!!!! Namaste is located in the Discovery Bay shopping center. It's a newer restaurant and it is fantastic!
We were immediately greeted when we walked in and sat right away. Our server, Kuber, was phenomenal. He was so kind and knowledgeable. He also cooks, so we let him choose our dinner for us!
We started with the Chicken MoMo appetizer. They are Nepali style dumplings. They were incredible. I'm a huge dumpling fan and these were great. We got steamed momo and Jhol MoMo. They were both good and the sauces so flavorful.
For our entrees we got Biryani, Dhaniya Chicken (their special), Garlic shrimp, garlic cheese naan and garlic naan.
Everything was great. The flavors of everything were incredible, nothing too overpowering. The Dhaniya Chicken was definitely my favorite, paired with the garlic naan. The garlic cheese naan was light and crispy. The regular garlic naan was soft and chewy. They were both so good. The garlic shrimp was also really good and flavorful, the garlic wasn't too overpowering which I love.
We ended the meal with Pista Kulfi & Mango Lassi, both incredible! They mango lassi tasted like the mango ice cream I used to get growing up, it was great.
There's plenty of seating in the restaurant and it has a very welcoming ambiance.
They validate parking if you park at Discovery Bay.
It was a 10/10 experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back...
