We visited this store yesterday, and it was the absolute worst restaurant I've been to in a long time. First off, the prices are way too high to not have their food made to highest quality. We'll start with that. 13 dollars for a small portion and a drink, when I ordered a chicken avocado flatbread and the chicken was as dry as a rock. The flavor of that wasn't bad at least, though the loaded potato soup I ordered needed a semi-truck full of salt dumped in it. The rest of the food was meh, so AGAIN, not worth the price at all.

We wouldn't have even eaten there if we had happened to look around more clearly before we ordered. I literally wanted to gag as we sat down at one of the many dirty tables, wiping off a layer of crumbs ourselves. I think everybody else that came before us had to do that too, because the floor was a crunchy mess. It didn't look like the floors had been swept once that day. Probably the reason their health score on the wall was a big fat 91. That's pretty bad. I will say one single employee started to wipe table while we were there, but still hours overdue.

The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, half the toilets were clogged and it smelled atrocious. The rest of the employees, specifically the lady at the counter, seemed like they couldn't care less about their jobs or customer service. The drink counter was out of lids, so we had to sit down and eat our meal with open drinks. Because we paid so much for our food, I topped off my drink before we left. Still no lids restocked.

I waited a couple minutes for someone to come up from the back, even though they clearly knew customers were there (we were the only two for an hour, I think we deserved a little attention) and she was on a phone call. I told her that there were no medium lids, so without a word she walks past, grabs some from under the cabinet and just rips open the plastic. I remind her that we need two, but I guess since she's still laughing obnoxiously at her friend on the phone, she didn't hear me. She hands me a single lid and walks away before I can even speak up. And she didn't even put any of the lids out on the counter! She just carts them back with her over to the register and continues her phone call without even a, "have a nice day."

Food: MEH. Price: NOT WORTH IT. Service: NON-EXISTENT. Restaurant: LITERAL TRASH. It was everywhere...

Please do not eat here. I'm pretty sure it's starting to get run down anyway, so just let the poor suffering creature shut it's doors.

Would've taken some pictures if I didn't think it'd be suspicious or I'd get my...

We LOVE Schlotzky's & were looking forward to eating here tonight after a long day of tests at a nearby hospital. From Hwy. 280, we noticed the sign was missing the name & immediately thought oh no it closed permanently, but then we saw chairs on top of tables inside, so we pulled around & the open sign was on & we saw people eating inside, but a female worker was putting chairs on top of tables. It was 6:20 PM, so my friend went in & asked her if they were closing & she was rude & said she'd be right with him, so he thought she was speaking to someone on the drive thru headset she was wearing, & repeated himself. She DIDN'T LIKE IT!! I was inside at this point, looking at the menu as she continued stacking chairs. She finally came to cash register to take our order, I ordered & my friend asked what time they closed & she said 9 but she leaves at 7 & has to clean before she leaves. She took off her headset & just started scratching her head!! Like ALOT!! Right in front of us!! I've never seen anything like this in a restaurant EVER!! She appeared to be so annoyed by customers that I just told my friend, apparently we're annoying her, let's just go somewhere else. So we left. We went to METRO DINER across the street where we were greeted by a friendly host, a friendly server & were served delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. & nobody was scratching like they had fleas 🤔🤢🤮 When we drove back by, over an hour later, we saw several people dining...

Disclaimer: I am gluten free, but not celiac, and do not have immediate reactions to gluten exposure. I am giving my experience based on taste and service. As always, how "safe" the food is for other gluten free people may vary depending on your sensitivity. I love eating here. The staff is always so friendly and try to help even if things (like issues with the app) are outside of their control. If anything has ever been amiss, they are always eager to fix the situation. I go here for gluten free pizzas and some of the best gluten free bread buns I've ever had. Always tastes super fresh, and the bread doesn't fall apart immediately like other gf bread buns. They have also been knowledgeable about things when I've asked them about menu items being gluten free. I also like that it's not outrageous to make an item gluten free here, so I'm not feeling bad about having to pay way more. Environment-wise, I always ordered togo, so I'm not sure how clean or nice the restaurant itself is to eat in, but food-wise my experience has been 10/10. Food like normal tasted great. However, while waiting on our order to be boxed up, I witnessed other food fall off the oven rack and into the garbage can below (see attached picture). To my disbelief, the worker grabbed the food from the garbage can and placed it back on the oven rack. I audibly exclaimed "oh no" almost as an involuntary reaction. I was completely shocked. The worker a few moments later must have realized what he had done and threw the food back into the trash. Regardless of the current situation within the kitchen (you could tell they were a bit overwhelmed), no worker should ever remove cooked food from the trash and place it on a cooking surface where it was touching other cooked food.

I have loved Schlotzsky's since I first discovered them back in the 70s. We live in Vermont now, where there aren't any. Every time we come south I try to eat at Schlotzsky's for my all time favorite sandwich in the world. I had a medium deluxe original and would've gone for the big one if I'd had a way to keep half of it fresh in the car. It was every bit as delicious as I remembered. The bunz are the thing! Their bunz are so amazing and unique that they'd make PB&J taste gourmet. The Schlotzsky's we visited was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, the food fresh and fabulous. I only wish they were located closer to home.
