Yesterday was my partner's birthday and we went to this location to celebrate just before 6pm. Long story short, it was explained to the hostess that it was his birthday. It was also explained to the waiter and later on to a manager. During our service, five other birthdays were acknowledged, two of them being right across from our table on either side, but no one ever came to the table to acknowledge my partner's birthday despite the hostess making a note of it on the seating ticket she left for our server.
My food was not right, but I just made the best of it because I didnt want to make a fuss on my partners special day. The drinks were ok and what I could eat of my food was decent. Our server (Lathan/Nathan?)didnt seem to pay attention to details hence my appetizer and entree being incorrect, and he then would later on take my plate without asking if I was done mid bite. I personally know for a fact that this location has been there quite some time, but the energy from yesterday's crew was giving novice energy.
After seeing something appalling across the dining area, we called the manager over to express our concerns and it was at this time that we also explained that it was my partner's birthday, and that it had not been acknowledged. We would go on to continue sitting there waiting to see if someone would do or say anything about my partner's birthday, but nothing... Finally, we got tired of waiting and began to exit after paying the bill (on which i still left a decent tip in spite of the poor service), but not before the manager walked past our table two more times without acknowledging us. Upon exiting, my partner spoke up once again and they had the audacity to tell him that they would be willing to provide him a complimentary piece of cake for his birthday, but he would have to wait despite the fact that we had already been waiting....our entire dinner service. Needless to say the manager ( i beleive her name started with an "M" ...she was younger with a dark curly bob) on duty was leading by example in all the wrong ways.
As I stated earlier, the food that was correct was okay and the drinks were decent so I won't go so far as to say that we'll NEVER be back. Poor customer service is a hot button for both my partner and I so its likely that it'll be a while...maybe even some years before we do return if we decide to, but I can assure you it won't be for...
Read moreI have been going to Pappasito's for over 34 years! I frequent this Pappasito's quite often. I will have to say that they have definitely improved. I actually boycotted Pappasito's for a couple years after the pandemic was over because every time I said where is this, where is that, they said oh we are out of it because of the pandemic ,always pandemic and that was getting really old. Especially because the the pandemic I've been over for a year and then another year so I just quit going . Until one of my friends talked me into going again and now I'm back and once again I am in love with Pappasito's.
Usually get the shrimp quesadilla, lambchop as appetizer then the family platter with the quail. Without a doubt PAPPASITO'S has the best chicken fajitas. I will say that I have to always tell them no extra salt because y'all are really heavy on the salt. But the food is top notch.
I want to talk about your manager Morgan, I will say she is by far the best manager y'all have ever had . She should actually should do training for your other managers. I worked in the industry for 25 years. I'm a chef, I have owned my own catering company as well as another business and I would definitely hire her. She is so considerate, so friendly , she knows how to deal with customers and I've been just watching her and watching her at other tables and she's incredible she's absolutely incredible. I asked staff members at different times how much they like her and they all just Rave about her and say she's excellent she's their favorite manager. In fact they say ""I love me some Morgan"". To me that speaks volumes. Pappasito's and all the papa restaurants are known for their friendliness and customer service. But when you have somebody that literally stands out amongst everybody else you have a winner. I don't want her to leave this location but I definitely think that she needs to be promoted in some way I'm telling you to be training your other managers cuz she is excellent. I wish every restaurant I went to had a manager like her. She makes you feel like you've been friends forever. And that's how she is with all the customers because I watch her. Five stars for you Morgan. I would also like to say that our waitress Mystique is excellent. And she will be the waitress that I always asked for from here on out. So friendly and...
Read moreThis review is long overdue, but I couldn't let it go without acknowledging the outstanding service I witnessed from a manager named Danica during a dinner visit on May 1st. While dining with my family, we were seated next to a group celebrating their mom’s birthday. They had brought a cookie cake and asked the restaurant to hold it until they were ready for dessert. Unfortunately, Danica had to deliver the bad news that the cake had accidentally fallen and was ruined.
Understandably, the family was upset. But what happened next truly left me speechless: Danica personally offered to leave the restaurant, find a new cookie cake, and bring it back herself. The family agreed, and she left to do so.
As my husband and I continued our meal, we noticed Danica was gone for quite a while. The family had finished eating and were clearly frustrated—especially the kids. Eventually, the husband and children left, and the mother stayed behind to wait. When Danica finally returned, she was incredibly apologetic. I overheard her explaining that she had gone to three different stores to find a replacement cake. Despite the hassle, she and the mom ended up sharing a warm, lighthearted conversation. Danica even gave her a gift card and walked her out to the car with the cake and leftovers in hand.
I was so impressed that I stopped Danica to ask her name and thanked her for how gracefully she handled the entire situation. She showed genuine empathy, stayed calm under pressure, and went far above and beyond to make things right.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and I can honestly say Danica is the best manager I’ve encountered here. As soon as she returned, she jumped right back into helping staff and checking on other guests. In contrast, I’ve seen other managers at this location disengaged—even on their phones—while the place was busy.
Danica deserves to be recognized for her outstanding leadership, compassion, and work ethic. You need more...
