From start to finish, our experience at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse was nothing short of phenomenal!! Truly one of the most high-end and memorable dining experiences my husband and I have ever had.
Upon walking in on a weekday night, we were immediately greeted with warmth and hospitality. We even had the pleasure of meeting the Director of Operations, Anthony, who went out of his way to welcome us on our first visit. Eddie, the GM, was equally accommodating and set up our table with rose petals and confetti in a fun, lighthearted way—celebrating our first child-free date in a long time. It was a small touch, but it made the night feel even more special.
Our server, Lateefah, was beyond exceptional. She has officially set the gold standard for service, making every other dining experience we've had pale in comparison. Collected, calm, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable, she crafted the perfect atmosphere for our relaxing night out. She asked all the right questions, walked us through the menu with fantastic recommendations, and even arranged a wine tasting based on our selections, showcasing what makes Ruth’s Chris truly stand out.
Now, onto the food—absolute heaven. We started with the calamari, which was hot, crispy, and lightly sweet and spicy with a chili drizzle—hands down some of the best we’ve ever had. For our main course, we shared the Porterhouse steak for two, cooked rare, alongside Brussels sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. Every bite was worth every penny. The steak was cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tender, marbled beautifully, and elevated with the truffle butter on top. The Brussels sprouts had a lovely bacon-honey flavor and were perfectly crispy, while the mashed potatoes were light, fluffy, and well-seasoned. Every dish was simply outstanding. The cocktails were also expertly mixed. You could tell the bartender truly knew their craft. They even brought us a bourbon Bread Pudding dessert which was ingaled on impact; light, creamy and full of caramelized goodness.
Lateefah even took pictures for us throughout the evening, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We always forget to document these moments, and she made sure we left with not only a fantastic experience but lasting memories as well.
This was a night to remember, and every detail—from the service to the food—exceeded our expectations. Worth every dollar, and we will most...
Read moreIf I could give the chefs a separate review I most definitely would. To start positively the food was wonderful. Started with the goat cheese artichoke dip and bbq shrimp. Presentation and flavor 10/10. The porterhouse for 2 AMAZING along with the lobster mac n cheese and roasted Brussel sprouts.
Time for the rest. To give some context it was my husband's 27th birthday dinner. We had a party of 4 younger black guests. When arriving at the restaurant the host was speaking with an older couple letting them know where the bar was and where they may sit while waiting for the table to be ready. Now its Our turn to check in the host acts as if my name is not listed then we are simply told we can sit and wait for the table to be ready ... nothing about the bar, and lack of attentiveness and or professionalism she spoke to us like we were her friend.
The Server .... Clear as the day she didn't want the table .... fine we move on she ask us if it was our first time we say yes then processed to not explain anything and or ask if we had questions.
we order drinks they took more than 10 mins to arrive the server not once said hey the bar is backed up or any communication to let us know that our drinks had not been forgotten
We ordered the porterhouse at medium and it came out well done and the server looked at me as if I made an error as a CHEF I can't foresee a steak house sending out a steak well done and a medium temp was requested
The horrible experience contains but I said all that to say we were referred here by someone that comes often and to have such high expectations to be let down is sad
next time togo might be better :(
THE MANGER'S "HELP" -the manager did stop by after I had asked for her... when spending $112.00 on a steak and it needs to be remade she should have stopped by the table and apologized no one apologized. The MOD that night did listen to my concerns and hoped she would turn the night around. She came back out and asked how everything looked we said fine she promised to check back in and didn't. In the end, after everything was boxed up we waited another 10 mins for our server to come back with the checks overall I am very sad about how dinner turned out!
I will say this is not the first time this has happened and the server just thought she wasn't going to get a good tip which caused her to miss out on a table of former...
Read moreHad the pleasure of going to Ruth Chris for a friend's birthday. Got here around 830pm on a Friday night. Great place and very romantic vibes. The music selection that played amongst the restaurant was a soothing choice. The Playlist consisted of sade, usher, Tamia and some other older r&b artist. When arriving i seat at the bar , waiting on the additional parties to arrive, and ordered a dirty Martini, Titos based, and it was very dirty and great tasting . The bartender was very nice . After we were seated at the table . When seated the area was very clean and well put . We didnt sit in the middle of the resturant yet it was a semi private room with another party. Our table consisted of 5 people total . When seated a lady came and poured our waters and then a guy came and brought warm bread out for us as we waited on our waiter . While waiting, about 20 minutes our waiter came and our order was received and than placed . This was for cocktails and drinks only. While waiting 30 minutes our drinks finally came and then our our was taken for our food. The drinks tasted really good as the blackberry sidecar is the strongest on the menu. After taking our food order , 2 people ordered steak , I ordered stuff chicken, crab cake and creamed spinach, other 2 people ordered fish. .. our food took about 40 minutes to come out. The chicken was very delicious as this is one of the popular menu items . The crab cakes were very tasty and flavorful. Spinach tastes like a garden mixed in cream I didnt like it. The other guest advise their food was good. We finished our food around 10:20pm . We chatted for a bit as we had another destination to attend . But as we noticed time went by the waiter never came to check on us . We had to ask servers for the waiter so that we can order dessert but instead another waiter took our order. After dessert still no waiter so we had to ask around again so we can pay the bill . Finally the waiter came and provides us the bill and bags our food up ... oh and valet is $5 .. Other than that, Ruth Chris is a great place , just need better service when paying...
