I don't usually like to go to a new restaurant within the first few weeks that it is open. It seems a little unfair, like judging a toddler's walking prowess immediately following a nap, a week after he stumbles from the ottoman to the couch. Tonight was an exception. The truth is, I had been battling a migraine all day, had next to no clean dishes if we're not counting the melon baller, that random medicine cup dispenser that I'm afraid to throw away and those cute, black, practically useless plastic tongs from when Qdoba catered at hubby's place of work. The thought of loading up and taking four children, three of which are boys (who never ever seem to be able to produce a matching pair of shoes when it's time to walk out the door) all whilst I sport a classy pair of Dollar Tree sunglasses AT NIGHT and zero makeup...all of this seemed easier than staying home and trying to come up with and cleaning up dinner on my own. Thank God we went to Chick-fil-A tonight! The first reason I am praising Hutch's Chick-fil-A is...I'm an admitted germ-a-phobe and would frankly, rather get a root canal than let my kids play in a public play area. However, when we got there, the play area had been freshly wiped down with disinfectant; the whole thing, including the seating for parents, all cleaned with care by Heidi, the patient, friendly employee who also looks very much like Felicity Smoak from "The Arrow." She also offered to clear our table when we'd finished. (Is she a mind reader, or something?!) I also LOVE, LOVE that they offer hand sanitizing wipes for when your sweeties finish playing in the play area. Second, Peter and Jordyn took my order and were absolutely precious. They didn't act creeped out by my sunglasses at night. They were super patient with me, (which I'm sure was excruciating to them since I was painfully slow-processing from the aforementioned migraine.) They were creative and accommodating and competent. I may even be willing to adopt them if they ever become family-less. I also appreciated their accuracy in getting my rather large and complicated order correct. They also seemed well-trained as they had quick price quotes for various items and had knowledge of more obscure items on the menu, like the 30 piece Chick-fil-A nugget option for sharing between kids. Third, our food was delicious and actually greatly resembled the pictures on the wall menu. All in all, it was an enjoyable trip to a new restaurant even though we visited at the end of a long, busy day, and the restaurant is so new....
Read moreSo we came to Hutchinson to visit family.
We ordered 9 separate meals. We had a long pool day and were on our way to the movies. We got home grabbed food and realized they forgot part of our order.
Its 10 min away so it added 20 minutes on our day as well as not making our movie.
Chris let us know we said 4 sandwiches when it was 3. The truth is we had 9 orders with 7 kids all under 12. The mistake of us was children were saying that. We werent trying to steal anything.
The accusation and him giving us food and saying what else do you want from this. We gave you what you paid for.
I said yes that was my expectation when i came through the first time. I NEVER had an issue with them. We are on a time crunch.
We should have just ordered pizza. That sounds like a safer option for the foreseeable future.
The lack of empathy and accountability. He said sure just handle it with your credit card company. We dont want a refund..at all. We just didnt want our plans dismissed and our kids hungry. Chris was super smiley which felt...

*Google asked for an update and I'm here for it, because my most recent experience wasn't the best. The order taking process was painful. We couldn't just order, the girl kept interrupting us with questions that we would've answered if she had just stopped interrupting us. Never had that happen before. The other person eating with me didn't get what they ordered and I got the original sandwich and it was so greasy, and tasted like oil hadn't been changed for a long time. And it was also a little overcooked and just overall wasn't good. So I'm rather disappointed and I may go back some day, but...
