Goodwill Industries of Kansas — Local services in Hutchinson

I like this Goodwill a lot! Lots of fun stuff to look at, and I can usually find okay enough clothes for me. The staff is nice, too! I wanted to post a review letting people know about some disability accessibility stuff. They do have a wheelchair for a customer to use while shopping, and it's nice and wide, but it doesn't have feet rests, so I had to sit cross-legged the whole time, which was not comfortable. The bathroom is technically wheelchair accessible, but it's quite difficult to get in. The first door is just barely wide enough, and then the actual bathroom door was too heavy for me to push open. Fortunately my friend was able to help. The wheelchair also got something sticky on my coat (it should wash out fine). It would be nice if Goodwill could aquire a better wheelchair (one with foot rests would be great), but I understand those things are expensive. Just wanted to let other people know if they were wondering about disability...

Stopped in yesterday to pick up a few things and when we got inside they had displays that showed everything with a blue tag and a yellow tag was 50% off, well we shopped about 2 1/2 hours finding little treasures and clothes which the prices was higher than I've ever seen in any goodwill or second hand shop but figured it would even out because of the 50% off that's displayed then get to the register and the cashier says oh it's just the yellow tags that's 50% off and they forgot to take the blue tag displays down and wouldn't give the discount it showed! Sorry but if you take the time to put up the new displays why didn't you replace last week's discount displays with the new displays?!? To me that's scamming the purchaser and I'll find a more reasonable and honest place to purchase my second hand items from because this place has gone to the birds with greed from donated items!! TERRIBLE STORE!!!!!! I shopped here for years even tho their prices went up and they were charging outrageous amounts for used items they get for free. One day I was shopping in this store with my boyfriend and was stopped by police saying we were banned and had a no trespassing order and could not come back to the store. We had NO stolen items on us and had not stolen anything from there ever! I was also verbally assaulted by an officer by being told to "shut up" and publicly humiliated for no reason when we had committed NO crimes. Then I proceed to contact someone higher up and he tells me it was because a person I was in the store with "looked" like her purse was big. No proof whatsoever and it had nothing to do with me or my partner. The workers are always rude and have attitudes and the store is always filthy. I would not recommend going to...
