Update: I've become a vegetarian since my last review and I do enjoy going here still. They have a couple of good veggie pizzas and I like eating the potato wedges and chips from the chicken bar. The salad bar is usually good too, but I prefer it when they have special fruity options like the strawberry and whatnot, but I get that those are seasonal. I did call the headquarters and ask about their cheeses and they were very good about getting me the info I needed. All the cheese is vegetarian except for feta and parmesan. Still love the dessert pizza too!
I really like what all we get for the price, a pizza, fried chicken, salad and dessert buffet with the drink included. However, I was not impressed with the pizza this time. I usually really like it, but I don't know if they changed the recipe or if I just wasn't feeling it tonight. One thing they did change that I'm grumpy about is the sauce options for the chicken. In the past they have had big bottles with sauces for the chicken, as well as ketchup bottles on the buffet, but now all they have are those dumb packets that are hard to open, plus you have to use 3 to get enough sauce. Disappointed about that. I also missed the special salad for the salad bar. Previously they always had a seasonal salad, like berry Walnut or mandaran orange, but not tonight. Also, they had a bunch of signs up for a new kind of pizza with french fries, but they didn't have it out. If you have something advertised, you'd think that they would keep it stocked pretty well on the buffet. I know I could have requested it, but I had already requested something else and didn't want to be needy. I do love the dessert pizza, though, especially apple and peach. However, all they had was butterscotch (not great) and their classic cactus bread. The thing I requested was the dessert pizza. It was so worth it. I ate ice cream while I waited and it...
Read more$8 for a side of potato wedges is criminal. Staff didn't know what they were talking about. Individuals of our group were told three different buffet prices and the difference in prices weren't explained so the majority of us didn't get a buffet due to the expensive price. Then when we heard the other prices from our party members while we ate and we said "we didn't know that. We would've gotten the buffet had we known that." We wanted a buffet. Took me over 30 minutes to get a small chicken bacon ranch pizza. The party had finished eating and were ready to leave. Asked for my pizza and a refund. They refused to give us a refund. A member of my party got a "chicken fiesta salad." Nothing is fiesta about it. We asked what was on it, thinking that since it's a fiesta salad it would have corn or black beans. The employee said "cheese." We said "and?" He said "lettuce. Chicken." The customer service was very lax. They didn't seem keen on explaining anything or giving us any information. They acted like it should just be common knowledge. Expensive and not worth your money. Don't recommend. A member of my party also stated when she got her salad that she wished she could've gotten black olives on her salad. The employee said "well I asked if you wanted any extras." She said "I didn't know what the extras were." Which is a very valid point on her part. Also they charge over a dollar more per thing that you add to your salad. It definitely doesn't cost them that much to buy those...
Read moreAfter reading some recent reviews i was a bit leary about going here for the first time. I called a couple of hours prior to let them know we had a party of 10 and that i was concerned about the reviews. Prior comments had pointed out that the buffet was not stocked very well and there was no chicken which is one of the things the place is known for.
When we arrived my aunt advised she had called earlier and ask for one of the rooms. She was told that would be ok even tho they usually don't reserve for less than 15. When we arrived they told us they don't reserve the tool rooms on Saturday evening. So we ended up sharing with another family who was having a child's birthday party. That turned out fine.
As far as my concern on the stocking of the buffet the reviews were correct. When we arrived there was 1 piece of chicken. My family waited about 15 minutes for more chicken and apparently everybody else was also waiting because by the time we got to the chicken pan it was nearly gone again. I went to the pizza buffet 4 times looking for pepperoni pizza i never found it. As soon as one was brought too the buffet it was gone while all of the weird combos sat with nobody eating them. As we were walking out it seems as tho people we still asking for pepperoni because we heard a lady talking to an employee
So the employee that i talked to on the phone about food availability said it was a fluke doesn't seem to know what's really happening
It was my first trip there. Not sure if i...
