I took my iPhone 7 into the Hutchinson location to have the screen replaced. I had heard good things about MobileComm, so I felt confident having them repair my device. After the screen was replaced, I immediately noticed that the new screen was not sealed tight all the way around the device. I was actually able to apply pressure to some spots around the edge of the screen and it would shift up and down so that I could tell it was not sealed. There was also a large spot on the display where the color and picture were noticeably distorted. Both of these issues were caused by the connecting plugs underneath the display pushing up against the screen. I brought this to their attention and they told me that they did not have another screen in-stock but that they would have another one in the next day and they would swap it out. At that point I was satisfied with their promise to make it right. After the second display was installed on my device I could still notice the screen was not fully sealed/flush like it should be. It was a great improvement over the first time they replaced it so I was willing to overlook it. However, there was now a much larger, much more prominent splotch on the display. I really did not want to bug them anymore or be an inconvenience (even though I was not at all satisfied in the quality of the work), so I just decided I would put up with it since it was working fine. Fast forward a few days and the screen is occasionally not responding to touch. I take it back in and they told me that they would check the connectors and make sure they were clean. Once again, I was glad that they were at least trying to make it right. After they clean the connections and give it back everything seemed to be working fine. No more than 20 minutes after I leave, the screen stops responding to touch completely. I went back to have them look at it again. After inspecting it again the screen will barely respond to any touch at all. At this point the phone is not able to be used because there is no way to navigate the display. They now proceed to tell me that it must be a "software issue". Now I am very frustrated because this is the third time that they are attempting to fix the display that I paid nearly $150 for. I told them that I have reset my device multiple times and that I know it is definitely not a software problem. I expressed how unhappy I was with the quality of the work/parts. They tell me that they can try to replace the display AGAIN with a new one, but it would have to be tomorrow because it was already past close. Up until this point I had been happy with their efforts to fix the mishap. But now it's almost as if it's an inconvenience for them to correct the problem. I have tried to be very understanding and reasonable throughout this process, but anyone would expect a higher quality of work/product. Especially given the price. I am optimistic that everything will be resolved once they replace the screen for the third (and hopefully final) time. I will update this review once that has been complete. - 5/16/18
After many attempts at getting the screen replacement correct on my iPhone 7, Jordan from the Hutch store said he was going to have their best technician in Wichita do the repair. He said since we've had so much trouble they were going to use a factory display from Apple (rather than a third party screen). I took my device to the 21st Street location in Wichita and Kalen completed the replacement in 15 minutes! He did a fantastic job and the screen looks/works absolutely perfect! I want to express how grateful I am to Jordan for not giving up until he made it right. He could have easily told me tough luck but he made sure that it was to my satisfaction. After my experience with Mobilecomm (Jordan in-particular), I will definitely recommend Mobilecomm for any of their device needs. They have my...
Read moreI took my phone in for a screen replacement as my dog knocked my phone out of my hand and it cracked yesterday. I used the online app to book an “appointment” and showed up a bit early. That didn’t seem to be a problem for them, but I hadn’t realized it would take a while to get done. I thought online it said it was a 30 minute job but he said an hour. I live far enough away that it was an inconvenience but not that big of a deal so I left the phone and went about my business. I returned back about an hour and fifteen minutes later and he recognized me and got my phone. I went to pay and something in my gut said “you need to check your phone first.” And I’m glad I did. The phone screen was so dark you could almost not tell anything was happening I tried a few different things and so did he and he couldn’t figure it out so he quoted me another 15- 20minutes to put a new screen on it again. This was quite an inconvenience since because at this point I had taken my “extra” time to get some groceries and they were in the hot car, and my family was waiting on me for dinner. I sat down to wait and he told me I had to go outside because of social distancing. We were The only two people in the building and I was a good 15 feet away from him- if not more. I went and stood outside for the 20 minutes and then when I returned it was fixed. The price is right or I would be leaving a one star review. I’m glad it’s working now but I wasted a lot of time on this today. If I had known it would take so much time I would’ve done it on a different day when I had...
Read moreNot the best experience for me! I was trying to give a newer business service by taking my tablet there to fix. The LCD Display went out and needed to be replaced. I checked once a week at the store on the status of the device being that I was only in Hutchinson about once a week but mainly Sundays in which they are closed. Every time I went they had to search for my device and when they finally found it, they ordered more parts or something was defected that they had received. Something that they told me would be 2 weeks to fix took over a month and a half to finish. It cost me about $150 which is near what they originally told me, so I knew what I was getting into. The time is what my issue was! When I finally called them again to complain they said that the device was ready and that they called me the week before to tell me. Well they didn't leave a voicemail if they did actually call and if they did it wasn't from the store number because I had that saved. I wasn't too thrilled with my experience. It may be better for others. Now that I picked the device up and paid for it. I was told that it worked. I get home charge it up it doesn't work! They will definitely get a call tomorrow as soon as...
