QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Hutchinson

I am downgrading my previous review from six months ago.

My family has been coming to this specific Qdoba pretty much since it opened. We used to be on a first name basis with the staff before they replaced them all before our previous visit.

More recently they have updated their rewards system and force you to pick a reward as soon as you have the points to get any item. We used to save up points and get two free entrées at a time (a frequent result because of how much money we spent here). Now we can only get one at a time. Twice as often, sure, but not how we wanted to do it.

Today we came in for the advertised Valentine's Day special of but one, get one free. They refuse to make the item I have been ordering since we started coming here. They refuse to honor their advertised special: they told us "some people got it and others didn't" but can't tell us anything beyond that. The terms of the offer no longer exist on their website, even by going directly to the URL they still show on the ad that still exists.

As a bonus, the reward that was earned the previous visit doesn't exist. An "administrative adjustment" on February 1st removed thousands of reward points from our account. So now, even though we earned a free entrée, it's been removed and we can't use it.

Also, someone teaches them that an adult entrée gets the same amount of queso (truly what makes their food superior to other similar places) as a kid's meal half the size.

To sum up, they've removed all the friendly employees who knew their regulars, changed their rewards program to go cheap, removed items that have been made for YEARS for regulars, stolen earned points, and engaged in false advertising.

Skip this place. It used to be great, but now it's not worth the time anymore.

And don't try offering me more free food. The supposed free entrées I was given after my previous two star review got removed from my account, as well, before we could use them.

FURTHER EDIT: Today (2/11/24) I ordered a kid's nachos and was asked if I wanted chips on the side, and then asked if I wanted rice, and if I wanted beans. We don't come here very often and I pretty much never do the ordering, so I didn't know (since the menu neither lists ingredients nor shows a picture) what is included. When I got to the end of the line I asked for beans for the side, and the extremely rude and hostile lady at the counter opened it up and proceeded to insist that because both ingredients were on there that I couldn't have a side. Sides are listed on the menu as beans, chips, and applesauce, and rice is not mentioned at all. Since it is a nacho dish and the chips were on the side but also listed as a choice in side it's kind of surprising she went after the rice and not the chips. I think she completely misunderstood, because she also put it down as a mini bowl, not a kid's meal. Her attitude was pretty typical for Hutchinson servers, honestly, but not for what someone should expect in any restaurant. Only went there because the kid who was getting the kid's nacho requested it; we've hardly been there since the last issue we had, because every time we go anymore there's a new problem with whoever is there refusing to do things as...

I'd like to preface by saying I generally have a great experience at this Qdoba.

I ordered a taco & an order of chips and queso once I got inside. The employee working @ 1:00 putting queso & cheese on the entrees was in a terrible mood and treated me as if I were the cause of it. I used to be a fast food worker so I understand how difficult it can be and I'm always kind to them when I'm ordering, so there was no reason for her hostility.

She gave me one of the side orders of queso rather than the larger one that I wanted, and when I nicely asked for a different one she ignored me, so I had to ask another employee. He then asked her to get me a queso, and she replied "I already did." I let her know I wanted a bigger one and she sighed and got it for me.

Once I got home and opened my queso it was only 3/4 full. I'm still not sure what I did...

My Husband and I came to Hutchison to visit and decided to get Qdoba‘s for supper, and so we tried ordering it online and waited patiently for it to arrive at our Hotel. We waited about an hour and called the restaurant and they said they would call back to see if they got our order, never received a call back. So we drove to the restaurant and ordered the people who were on the line seemed rude, my husband got a burrito and I got a bowl and were rude to us the whole way through .we had seen the floor had trash all over by the condiment stand and the cashier seemed rude as well. There were no straws for our drinks didn’t offer deals like chips and dip or anything else’s, need to have friendly more staff and felt like we got skipped out of portions of our food.
