I had reservations set up for my 41st birthday January 11th At the time I had only reserved for 10 people knowing it was going to be very small Unfortunately right before we had a severe snow storm so a few people could not make it do to children being sick I got a call roughly about an hour before we made it to Arden stating the liquor license was not ready yet so they was not serving alcohol but they do have mimosas available okay no problem that is fine Once I arrived I let them know the party is going to be a lot smaller it was only going to be four of us I was then told the entire menu would not be available only chicken and fish was being served that night In that moment is when I really wanted to turn around but I already paid for the reservations roughly three weeks in advance and there were no refunds So our table was moved of course because we are not a smaller group we were asked if we wanted to sit at the stage even though there was no entertainment Now that I am seated someone comes over and starts sweeping the floor by my table and feet I did not care for the food it was not that great to me the mashed potatoes taste like they were made with seafood butter and the green beans were very rubbery in the fish was very thin slice stating it was catfish and it looked more like tilapia After our food if we cut the cake that was brought with us my gas of course saying happy birthday As we proceeded to eat our cake that was brought with us a couple came in and they brought her cake/cupcake and proceeded to sing Happy Birthday to the table Since there was no refunds on the tickets that were not used I was told that I could use those tickets to come back at a later date With the experience that I had received I didn't want to come back Then I requested for the unused tickets to go towards the food bill $120 they agreed When we got the bill the young lady told us it was 162.00 this is the difference of $42.00 I paid for 10 people at $20 each that comes out to $200 six people were not in attendance that equals$$120 only $60 was removed from the food bill had to come out of pocket for the difference My guess pays the difference and it part $12 the waitress comes back to the table with $6 even though all the changes going to be her 10 she still tried to steal from us even though they had already stolen$60 so that's my experience I will never go back but it is a...
Read moreI gave 3 stars because you guys have potential but you just need a lot of work to do to keep up with the competition in Downtown Indianapolis Restaurants. The place is beautiful but the advertising is misleading, if you are going for the vibe when they have an event going on, then go but if you want to eat it is not the place I would recommend. This place is cute and definitely gives the vibe of an upscale place but then you try the food and you think you are eating from the Holiday Express breakfast buffet. I took my daughter here since I knew she would love the scenery. We were seated and provided a menu. Looking at the menu, there wasn't a big selection, but even the selections that were on the menu were not even available, the waitress kept saying, “I’m sorry we don’t have that either.” As for drinks, my daughter wanted a Boba Tea and asked for specific ones and they were told they don’t have the stuff to make that one then asked for two other ones and they said they also didn’t have the stuff to make those specific ones, so she settled with the white peach with Strawberry Boba which she stated it tasted watered down so she didn’t even drink it. They have a Mimosa menu but when I asked for it to pick my mimosa the waitress said well we are out of mimosa flavors and all we have is orange with grenadine. All in all, your restaurant’s ambience and decor is lovely but unless you address the food quality concerns, it’s going to be very difficult to retain customers and build a positive reputation especially with your location being in the heart of downtown where you already have to compete with other fine dining restaurant...
Read moreI went recently on a trip to Indy and decided to check out this cute little place by myself. Despite there not being anyone else there it took over 20 minutes to get my drink that had chunks of chocolate syrup, I had clumps of it in my straw. I was looking around for my server to order 5-10 minutes after I had received my drink. I was ready to order when my drink arrived but she just walked away when a party of 3-4 people came in and my order was taken after theirs. I ordered chicken and waffles that came with fruit. I have a melon allergy and asked the waitress 3 times to ensure there was not melon in the fruit or I would have simply substituted for a different side. After being there for close to an hour I got my food and ate my waffles while picking at the fruit. I started to feel strange and breaking out in hives. That’s when I noticed there was indeed melon in my fruit. Somewhat frantically I got the waitress’ attention was given a box and a check. I brought the issue to her attention and wasn’t given an apology just that she didn’t think there was melon in there, if you work at a restaurant it’s your job to know. Or alternatively if you don’t know ASK. I paid it so I could get out of there ASAP to the closest pharmacy a few blocks away. I called the manager afterwards and explained the situation and he told me he would refund me. I never got my refund. I reached out two more times after that to try to settle things internally and was told a manager would reach back out to me but never did. I had to file a dispute with my bank. While the atmosphere was cute, there was nothing good about the...
