Per some of the previous reviews, I've had the same NEGATIVE experience, EVEN AFTER TALKING TO THE OWNER!!! After sending a complaint thru the app on Tuesday 3/8 (due to one of his MANAGERS rudely telling me she wouldn't honor a birthday coupon for a burger and fries because she needed a bar code and that their location was a franchise, pointing me to a sign that said as much, but was hidden out of view), I responded to the owner's VM message. While he did respond, he seemed to have not read my complaint; if he did, he was selective about what was in it and what he addressed. He assumed it was about a "milkshake offer;" it wasn't. He said that his manager turned me away because the coupon in question was "expired;" again, it wasn't and besides: she NEVER questioned or spoke about the expiration date, just about the bar code and that they were a franchise who doesn't always honor coupons from corporate. While the owner did honor the coupon and said to come back in and speak to him and another manager for the meal, I came back and the very same manager who turned me away was now handling my food, as the owner was supposedly in a meeting. After she prepared my food, she then apologized, first saying she didn't know, which was questionably vague. She then said she had previously dealt with 1or 2 customers (before me) that had "expired coupons" (she didn't say if they were paper, from the app or from online). She continued by saying that my particular coupon was "on a timer, since it was a birthday coupon or something..." "On a timer?!" This is why I wanted to talk to the owner: To probably get an owner's perspective on how the app and its coupons function, relative to franchises and corporation-owned locations. Once app coupons appear on one's account, they're on that account until they're used, or they expire (or if there's an issue with the app). There is no "timer;" so, until the last, she seemed to be trying to cover up her initial errors with more excuses and an extended lie of a story...In short, dine here at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually don't have problems at this Stake n' Shake. I like the convenience and most of the time it was quick! But I did experience an unpleasant encounter the last time I went here about a month ago. In the drive-thru, I could only pull up far enough to where just the front left side of my car was barely in front of the speaker. The lady in the drive thru started speaking, but I had my window up. I rolled it down and she spoke again asking for my order. I said part of my order, with my head sticking out of the window so she can hear me. Silence.... So I expected she hadn't heard me. So when the car moved up I was able to adequately pull up to the speaker and see the menu. The same woman said "ma'am I already took your order you can pull forward." I responded "Oh, I wasn't finished, I didn't know you heard me." She said "Well we do have cameras and I did take your order but I guess I can add to your order." I'm sorry... what?? Never was I argumentative. I work in customer service myself and I understand the strain that is going on right now. But this was just unacceptable. I could not even see the menu, not to mention the lights are out on it. Arguing with a customer who had no intention of being argumentative, and pulling the switch on me saying she has cameras??. She was probably just taking her anger out on me for something that had happened earlier. But as a representative for your company, you need to learn to put that aside for the next costumer. I haven't been back since and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here 3 times with my mom and sister. The experience has always been consistent. The food is really good, and I am particularly fond of their Frisco burger, however the staff at this location seem really unmotivated. We were the only people in line, and there were only 2-3 other groups at the tables, all of which were already eating. The staff clearly saw us, and we watched them glance over several times while they kept talking amongst themselves for several minutes. Finally we were given our menus, and seated at a both. Having been there before, we knew what we wanted, and placed our orders right away. We waited for nearly half an hour, during which time the staff mostly just chatted behind the counter. Only one other person came in after us, and I watched as he waited about 5-10 minutes for his carry-out. Finally, our food arrived, and we enjoyed our meal. The waiter didn't come back to our table until after we were finished eating. We got our check, and then waited another 5 minutes or so for someone to check us out. By this point, we had already decided not to come back to this location, as this had been our general experience on all three of our visits there. Overall, the food was good, and the staff was friendly enough when they actually interacted with us, but they seemed more concerned with their conversation than the people...
