I really wanted to like this place, as I had heard great things about the ambiance and the drinks. The bar and menu were actually great. HOWEVER, the service was way, way below expectations. We came in on a Tuesday almost 2 hours before closing. At first we were ignored before being seated, which was fine. There were only two workers there. But we quickly realized how little they wanted to serve the bar patrons. There were maybe 3-4 other groups present, all of which already had their drinks, and our drinks took over 15-20 minutes to arrive. Then, as we were enjoying our conversation, we noticed one of the bartenders dramatically rolling her eyes after she left each table she went to check in on, and her comments and conversation behind the bar were negatively directed at different tables. This isn't even the worst part. Not once, but twice, the bartenders went into the staff room, turned up the music to a very loud level and uncomfortable level, and immediately exited. (Then went behind the bar to laugh about it.) I was at a small table and could barely hear who I was talking to. Mind you, this was over an hour before close and well before they called "last call." I have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant or bar before tonight. Like I said, I really wanted to enjoy this place and some time with friends. I understood they were potentially having a bad night. But throughout my 45 minute stay, I felt more and more unwanted and uncomfortable as a customer. I will definitely never come back as long as the current staff is there. I advise you to save your time, money, and patience, and go to other locally owned cocktail...
Read moreEdit: Taylor the GM/Owner contacted me and was very professional, understanding, receptive to the feedback given. I appreciated the urgent response and the attention to the feedback I had. He invited me back to make the experience right, I will take him up on it through the next couple weeks. His response alone made me feel valued, Thank you Taylor.
Save yourself some time, waited an hour to be seated because we wanted to experience the new place on Mass, the wait was to be expected as seating is limited and every one seems to want to check this place out, the wait IS NOT why they get 1 star. The service was sub par in EVERY aspect. We got seated and spent about 1.5 hours in there, the server only came to us twice in that time span, when we wanted to leave we even had to go get her attention from the bar. She seemed upset when our group ordered waters with our cocktails, she huffed and sighed constantly during the few interactions we had, when I provided my card to pay for the tab after having only one drink and being there for over an hour she said "I assume these are all separate" and rolled her eyes, I responded by saying, no, all in one please, to which she said "THANK GOD!" and bolted away not to be seen for another 15 min. Never a thank you, never a you're welcome, never anything to resemble the atmosphere this beautiful locale seems to want to set (because it is a pretty awesome looking bar). We live on Mass, unfortunately we will probably not be coming back. Gotten better service from way more other places on the Ave. Still tipped 23%, hoping the bartender got a cut, cuz the drinks...
Read moreI’m a local tattoo artist, looking for a new bar to take my siblings and I. I DO NOT recommend this bar whatsoever. We went on a saturday night, it wasn’t busy whatsoever, and we couldn’t even get our order taken without trying to flag down a bartender. Our bartender being hammered (and generally off putting) when we got there at 9:30 didn’t help. We finally get our orders in, a couple beers and a couple mixed drinks. A bit of time went by and we noticed there wasn’t much urgency getting any drinks out. I understand the mixed drinks take time, but the beers are literally on tap. We weren’t the only ones wondering where our drinks are, multiple other groups walked out as we were wondering what was happening. An hour goes by and we could see no drinks being made, except for the shots that the bartenders were taking themselves. After about an hour and a half we decide to walk out. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were just busy in the upstairs area, but on our way out the upstairs was pretty empty too. Absolutely no excuses. Ive lived on mass ave for awhile and there are many good bars here, this is NOT one of them. If you want overpriced cocktails, uncomfortable interactions with the unfunny male bartenders, and overall poor service, this is the place for you. We were having a good night hopping between local bars, this place literally made us want to end the night and go home. You’re better off at home with a cheap bottle. This place is a joke as are the unprofessional staff, do yourself a favor and go...
