Waffle House — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Well I've got to tell you this place was an adventure I probably shouldn't give it but one star but I felt sorry for some of the staff. First of all the day we were in there it became a teenage hangout it was loud people were singing and doing all kinds of silly things and the manager a little heavy set red headed gal hit it on hiding in the office. I think her entire management skills probably involved playing a game on her phone. She did not come out she did not help the staff was overwhelmed with the amount of people that were there. Now bear in mind this is about 11:00 on a Friday night. The other customers were all getting upset orders have been prepared wrong and slowly. Most of their original menu that I remember from 5 years ago is gone I'm sure it's covid related everything you have requires you to either hash rounds or grits with it. They don't believe in any other sides they've got rid of the t-bone steak. when I was there things were trying to get caught up and they sent the one good young black gentleman home who was a cook and left another gentleman in charge he was dropping food all over the floor I don't imagine the helpful word he has even been in this place if it had adult sincerely be operational. The little redhead simply trotted around making sure that she could tell everybody what to do. When the waitress asked me if my meal was okay I told her I ate it. Could have been worse I could have been MRE. There was a great deal of similarities between an MRE and the meal I ate the only good thing was I didn't have to cook it I suppose. I wouldn't recommend the place it's going downhill fast unless they change over the staff. I think the owner is one of these type of people who bought it and hasn't been back...

Waffle House... there isn't much to say, really. Its your typical small breakfast joint that is always busy on the weekend.

We decided that this was the place to go one Sunday with some friends from out of town. We arrived a little after 11am to find the place was busy and had a line to get a table. The guy that was seating everyone did a good job of keeping track of who was first. I didn't keep track but I'm going to say that we waited 15-20 minutes for a table.

Once arrived at the table we all pretty much knew what we were getting. Our server brought our drinks and then took our order. Ha! All 4 of us got the same thing. Now for the life of me I can't remember what it is called, but it comes with eggs, bacon, toast, and waffle.

Our food came out pretty quick considering how busy they were. Once it started to arrive we condensed our food onto one plate as each of us were getting about 4 plates each. If you haven't been to a waffle house, then you don't know how small the tables are for a group of 4 people.

I was impressed how good the food tasted. Other locations in the area don't taste this good. I was surprised, happy, and impressed. Our server kept our drinks full and our table cleared as we one by one emptied our plates.

The place is as clean as can be expected for basically a large, one room diner. It does look like they tend to dump a lot of stuff on the floor, behind the counter when they're busy... but I could be wrong as I never actually saw someone do that.

Overall, not a bad location, and I'm sure i'd go back...

I had never been there. I have heard a lot about their food being good. I have also heard that they are pretty dirty no matter where you go. To be honest, the syrup bottles were pretty sticky, but that's understandable. It wasn't a perfect place, but the food was amazing and Incredibly cheap. The people that work there were very friendly and casual. I highly recommend going to this location.

Prepare for slightly unrelated side note: Not only that, but something that got me really excited is that our waitress was named Sarah... Only it was spelled "Cera". I complimented her on her uniquely spelled name and she told me she was named after the Triceratops on Land Before Time. My inner child was super excited about this.

Anyways, the people there are very nice and the food is amazing and I can guarantee you're not going to get that much food for that price anywhere else. It didn't taste cheap either. Our waitress made sure that we had what we wanted and needed. She wasn't invasive to our space, but she was friendly. :) 10/10 Would go...
