NOT KID FRIENDLY FOR KIDS UNDER 5 Before I start my rant I want say the positive before the negative, first loved the food, and how close everything was in walking distance. Jasmine was very informative about stuff to do with kids, and my whole stay made me feel appreciated as a mother, and was very patient when I asked questions. I don't know the night guys name,he wears glasses with a beard he was nice, and tried to help me to the best of his ability. I would say I will come back and visit but Ms Debbie, and the owner have banned me and my kids. I was only supposed to stay one night, but I loved it so much I stayed from Saturday until Tuesday, so me and my 4 kids stayed. We swam in pool, and ate breakfast in dining area ( my kids made a mess during breakfast so I asked an employee to use broom and dust pan to clean it up which he happily did and thanked me❤️).The day before check out I asked for a broom and dust pan and the front desk didn't know where one was at, and I explained to them the mess and asked for a big trash bag. When I asked where could I take said trash bag once done I was told to leave it outside my room door, and I said I would much rather leave it in room so no other guest would see it, an explained to them my kids had pizza, popcorn, chips and my youngest who's 1 kind of made a mess of the room. I was told by Ms Debbie oh that's fine as long as you didn't damaged anything we wont charge you. So a few hours later HamptonInn tried to charge me without calling me to let me know why, so I called to inquire why I was being charged. Ms Debbie answered and said we vandalized the room, and it was completely trashed and they had to hire an outside source to clean the room because it was stains everywhere, but only a $100 went thru when they tried charging me $250. I asked for proof of stains because I saw none when I left, and she made a smart remark about how I was on a family/ friend reservation and whoever let me use their discount could loss it because of what I did. I informed her they couldn't charge me without proof, and I would let my family member know what all was going on. She said I had to wait until the GM got in, his name was AP who stated the same so they emailed videos , I saw no stains on carpet or walls so what stains are you referring to that you tried to charge me $250 for AP said he would call me back. He never did so I went back to hotel, and asked Ms Debbie to speak to manager AP, who left but the owner was there he would speak to me. So I explained everything to the owner about how I asked the employee for broom and dust pan and informed them of the mess, but when I wasn't given one I got on my hands and knees and brushed the trash to the best of my abilities in a pile by the bathroom. He proceeded to say the room was not available to be rented for 24 hrs because of how bad it was, so I asked to see the stains. Apparently my youngest son touched the couch with pizza sauce on his hand near the edge of seat part, so I apologize but that's not worth $250 he showed me a white sauce on carpet. I explained to him that it wasn't a stain when I swept the carpet with my hands my 3 yo came over to show me something and stepped on garlic bread stick that smeared into carpet I picked up big pieces but couldn't get the small ones. If your going to charge me a clean up fee ok but take into account as a mother of four I asked several times for broom and dust pan to clean up my kids mess, which nobody at the time could give me. The owner remarked "Your kids shouldn't be making messes in hotel", I said my kids are well behaved they weren't causes ruckus or running up the hallways or being loud, they just eat messy, and as a mother I always clean up after them like I did downstairs in the dining area. The owner stated this " Why should my guest clean up when their at my hotel, my employees shouldn't have to give you a broom just don't let your kids make messes you can't afford" I asked what else needed to be paid he...
Read moreSeveral minor things I'll get to in a moment, each of which by themselves I would probably overlook. First the major issue. I travel regularly, and have grown accustomed to taking my Chromecast with me to simply plug into the HDMI port on the TV and get lost in Netflix for an hour or so before bed. Rarely I run into a property where it is a big hassle or even impossible to get it to work. This hotel actually told me they block the HDMI ports on there TV's. When I pressed them as to why, they said because some guests play to much with the wiring". BS, it is a must that all hotels allow free use if HDMI ports for video game consoles or any other thing a guest might want to do with the property they paid so much for.
Besides this issue, this hotel (or at least room 111) is definitely overdue for some maintenance. The room generally had an unpleasant stench that lingered for the entire stay. The toilet wouldn't stop running until I removed the tank lid & closed the flapper valve myself. There was no hot water at 10PM; must have been hotel wide because engineer was already on their way in when I called to report it. TV remote was disgustingly dirty & needed a good alcohol scrub.
I really hope management reads this and addresses all issues. Otherwise I will never...
Read moreOur stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Indianapolis-South was out of sight. Just throught the lobby you’ll see the wonderful pool, which they keep clean and inviting. Also in this area you’ll find the fitness center, which helped us get our morning going on a good, healthy note. Great treadmills, excellent weights, and an assortment of ab equipment and mats. The staff was really nice and check-in was simple and fast, whivh was great because we rolled in late at night and just wanted to sleep! And sleep we did: excellent beds, tons of pillows. Even the pull-out sofa bed yielded a great night sleep. Fantastic shower with incredibly adjustable shower-head. Neutrogena shampoo products. Clean rooms, clean hallways, super-quiet facility all-around, and it was a wonderful night and morning. Would love to stay here...
