If ZERO stars was only an option! BUYER BEWARE! I will NEVER step foot into a Home Depot EVER again! Their third party delivery service is trash and should be fired! We purchased a brand new washer and dryer on 11-24-24. They set delivery up for 11-30-24. The delivery team showed up and immediatley started complaing. Saying "this is bullsh*t, I dont even know how to install these. I have never done one before.". Cussing and complaing the entire time. They then went into the garage where they got on a phone call. Once they came back inside, they conveniently "lost" the screws to the stackable brackets and stated they could not do the install and someone would be calling us to set another one up. They left for their next delivery and just left the washer in the middle of our kitchen and the dryer in the middle of our garage.
We waited and no one ever called. We contacted the number they provided us and were told they would not be able to get anyone out that day to complete the install. They refused to give us the names of the installers so we could write a formal complaint as well. We then contacted the Southport Home Depot directly and spoke with the manager Edna. She stated she contacted the delivery company and that they would be back to complete the install. The delivery drivers showed back up and grabbed the drill that they had left. They got their drill and said they were not told to complete the install and immediately left. We then called Edna back and she stated they would be out on Monday to complete it. Monday (12-2-24) they never arrived or called us. We called the 1-800 number we originally recieved and were told they would now be here on Wednesday. Today (12-3-24) we recieved an automated call stating they would now be here on 12-7-24 to complete the install.
It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get what we paid for. There seems to be ZERO communication between Home Depot and their third party delivery service! Also, the delivery team they use has ZERO training on how to properly install anything related to stackable washer and dryers. We just want what we paid for and in a timely manner. Read moreDon't buy appliances here! I ordered a built in cook top and oven here. The associate assured me they would fit. Home Depot doesn't install these type of appliances so I hired someone to do it. My appliances were delivered Friday 12/11/20 and on Monday 12/14/20 the guy I hired came to install them in the afternoon. He had to run a gas line and when he went to install them they would not fit together in a standard cabinet as I was told. That evening I called and talked to someone in appliances and was pretty much told "too bad you have had them for more than 48 hours we can't help you." The next day I drove down there and talked to the manager in person. While I was there he acted like they could help me by either exchanging one or both. 30 minutes after I left he called and gave me the same story about 48 hours but they would have a contractor contact me for a consultation on getting them retrofitted. No body ever contacted me. I was never told about their 48 hour return policy on appliances until after I had them. I would assume with this type of policy they would not deliver them on Friday knowing most contractors won't be there to install until Monday. I have been left high and dry with $2,700 worth of appliances that won't fit after their salesman assured me they would. The worst part is they could care less about it and refuse to reconcile the situation for me. Save yourself a HUGE headache and buy your appliances at an appliance store where they actually know what they are talking about. It's worth the extra money to get better customer service than to deal with these people who care less if your satisfied. I am left to deal with the manufacturer on my own to try to get something...

Just from when i was working there one of the store assistant managers followed my brother and I around the store at first like we were some criminals and what makes it annoying is we're american africans. But i noticed he didnt follow any other American-European employees around. Then he was doing other shady activity to the other minorities that worked there. It lowkey felt like i was being profiled. Still in 2018😰!! But whatever you get use to it after a while living in america. They also over worked us and gave us very little in return. Then after i quit because of everything that was happening there, they promised us a peice of the success sharing check for all the extra upaid work we did. Then come to find out since we quit before the success sharing party they arent going to share any with us. Even though the store manager and everyone promised. 😒 To me it seems like shady buisness. Im not really mad im just more disappointed in this home depo because even though they say "we love our employees and all that mumbo jumbo", they are just like any other corporation in america.
