Ok, l don't know where to start in telling you about the excellent service and awesome experience my wife, I and our guests had here. I'll try to make it short if I can lol. This review comes after our second visit which was last night. My second in less than 30 days, says enough. But on this 2nd visit, I hosted my wife's 34th Birthday. First ever hosted Birthday Dinner for her BTW. Honestly, Gloria's wasn't her option not for any negative reasons, but just because there was another restaurant she was interested in trying for the first time. Unfortunately, for that restaurant to accommodate our initial party size of 35 ppl was ridiculously expensive with a required minimum $$$ average per person, a small selective menu buffet-style only👎🏾👎🏾, and a card on file to hold the RSVP. Needless to say, I made this RSVP 12 days in advance. Plus it took 48hrs before I received the email with this info. So, I respectfully emailed back; thank you for the info and with now short notice, we looked for another venue. So, my wife remembered our first experience at Gloria's, and ask me to give them a call. Her Birthday is 7days away now, gave Gloria's a call and spoke with one of the hosts. I told her I wanted to make an RSVP for a birthday dinner for 35 ppl with a time & date. And they accommodated us with non of the above-mentioned requirements. All they asked was that most of our guests be there @ the RSVP time. When we arrived, Angelica one of the managers I believe, told me they were happy to have us and that if I need anything, ask for her. And our servers sorry, I didn't get their names but those 2 men did a fantastic job helping me ensure my wife and our guest had a rememberable experience. Thank you, Gloria's, for helping me give my wife one of the best birthday experiences! Until next time, I pray that God will bless your company for being such a blessing to us. BTW the food was...
Read moreDisappointed in Declining Quality and Service at Gloria’s
I’ve been a loyal customer of Gloria’s for years, but my experiences over the past year have been incredibly disappointing. What used to be a dependable dining spot for my family has turned into a place where I can no longer trust the food quality or management.
December 2023 Incident (Frisco Location): While dining at the Frisco location, I was served salmon with a bone in it, which cut the inside of my mouth. Management was extremely slow to address the issue, requiring me to contact the restaurant three separate times before I finally received the refund I was promised.
March Incident 2024 (Frisco Location): I decided to give Gloria’s another chance and brought a friend out for his birthday. To my shock, a metal ball was found in his food. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, management tried to blame us, insisting the metal came from us rather than the kitchen.
November 22, 2024 incident (Irving Location): I visited the Irving location and ordered the salmon again, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, the issues only got worse. First, the server was unfamiliar with the menu and refused to confirm an allergen with the kitchen staff. When my meal finally arrived, I found a long hair embedded in the dish.
The manager briefly came to say sorry but then disappeared and never followed up. Toward the end of the meal, I had to ask my waiter twice for a to-go box, which I never received. Finally, I had to ask a hostess for a to-go box for my mother and me on a third attempt before she finally provided one.
Mistakes happen, but this is no longer a one-off issue—it’s a pattern. What’s even more troubling is management’s unwillingness to take accountability and provide proper resolutions. As someone who used to frequent Gloria’s with my family, this decline in quality and service is...
Read moreI recently visited Gloria’s Mexican Kitchen in Las Colinas for what was supposed to be a simple family dinner to celebrate my child’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was not welcoming at all. The host basically ignored my child and had a dry, dismissive attitude with us right off the bat. I decided to let that slide because it was a special occasion, and we just wanted a quick, easy dinner for the four of us.
However, the service did not improve. Our waitress kept walking away while we were in the middle of asking questions or trying to order. And at the end of the meal, something happened that really rubbed me the wrong way. While we were packing up our leftovers, I put a little sauce cup into our to-go box. Instead of just letting us know that we couldn’t take the cup or offering a simple solution, the waitress took it upon herself to open up our to-go box with her hands and remove the sauce cup herself. Honestly, it felt pretty unsanitary and disrespectful, especially since she didn’t even explain it beforehand. She could have just told us, “Hey, you can’t take that little cup, but let me bring you a proper to-go container for the sauce.” Instead, she just put her hands in our food, which was just really off-putting. At that point, I almost didn’t even want to eat the leftovers anymore. Overall, the lack of professionalism and the way things were handled just left a really bad taste in my mouth—no pun intended. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because this kind of service definitely overshadowed what should have been a nice birthday dinner...
