I don't leave negative reviews lightly; but this experience was beyond shameful. We rolled in here after Texas Roadhouse caught on fire as soon as we were seated. Atmosphere was beautiful, looked as if we were walking right on back into a steakhouse in Wyoming or Montana. Customer service, on the other hand, was even worse than the food, which was bad enough by itself. Our waitress, Saige, started off by complaining to us how tired she was after having worked barely 6 hours by that point, and then acted extremely annoyed whenever we requested refills on drinks or bread. The food took a long while to get out to us, but I can understand that with it being a busier than usual night, although the restaurant wasn't even full. When the food finally did get out to us, my steak, which was ordered medium, came out blood-red and seeping, not near warm pink. Another member of our party had his ribeye steak, ordered medium-well, come out drier and as thin as shoe leather. The asparagus tasted like a greasy salt lick, the mac and cheese tasted like they lost a garlic patch in it, and my plate was a literal pool of salty grease running off the asparagus and steak. We tried multiple times to call the GM over, but just kept catching her eye and then she'd scurry off the other way and check on other tables. The waitress came and started taking our plates before I could take any pictures, but I did catch one of the shoe leather steak and it's posted with this review. Our party doesn't like to raise complaints, but something desperately needed done about this. Then when the waitress came to collect our payment methods, one was paid for with cash, and she asked, "Are you gonna need your change back?" The member who paid with cash said yes, and she responded with, "Really?". I work in the customer service industry as a cashier myself, and I wouldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams questioning a customer as to whether they would like their change back. ALWAYS give it back! What a testimony to greed that little exchange on its own was! We finally got the GM to come over, and when she asked how everything was, we were honest about our experience. She stopped us as we were starting to tell her about our experience and said she had to just go set some plates down and then she'd be right back so we could sit down and talk about it. She then proceeded to go table to table with everyone else for at least another 10 minutes, giving us the impression she was trying to stall and avoid us. When she finally came back over, the member of our party who had the shoe leather steak informed her how it was the absolute worst steak he'd ever had, and she went on to repeatedly ask him what was wrong with it, and that she saw nothing wrong. He held it up with his fork from one end, showing how dry and stiff it was, and she went on to say, "I see nothing wrong with it besides the fact it's maybe a little overcooked." He asked her if this was something she'd eat, and she said no, but that she didn't know what we wanted her to do about it. She continued to say she couldn't just stand around all night and talk to us, but she had barely been there a couple of minutes. We told her we just wanted her to be aware of what is presently being served at her restaurant. At this point the waitress had come back with the receipts, then said she'd be back with our change. Again, I don't like raising fits over nothing, but I do wonder why a waitress would come back with the paid bills but none of the owed change? The previous interaction regarding the change certainly didn't help her case. She did come back with it after a few more minutes, just as we were getting up and ready to chase down the GM about the issue. Y'all eat here if you want, again not all our experiences here have been bad, but the good experiences have been few and...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had a terrible experience at this location. We had never been to a Longhorns before and figured we would try something new. Our service was mediocre at best, as we were served by the bartender who clearly prioritized her bar guests over us. I'm not sure why the bartender had the entire bar plus a three table section, but at the same time she seemed to give better attention to the other two tables around us than us. We weren't ready to order when our server was ready for us to so she ignored us for while while she cashed out a table, spoke with her bar guests and then came and greeted another table behind us. She grabbed their drink and told us she would be right with us for our order but then instead took the table behind us' order and walked past us again to put it in and then returned to take our order. Our food took forever to come out, which was not the servers fault but she briefly asked if our food came out okay right after we got it and never came back to check on us. My boyfriend's ribs were severely charred and we waited for a long time for our server to come back to our table so we could ask for something else, but instead she just brought us boxes and started to walk away. We informed her that we preferred a steak instead of the ribs, which she admitted looked awful and proceeded to ring in the steak instead. His steak was not rushed or prioritized so we waited another half hour for his food to come out, which the manger brought out and got us another box without an apology or concern over what we may need, as our server still had not been back. Another server came out and gave us (incorrect) refills as our server was too busy with the bar guests to bring us refills, and another server must have noticed. When our server finally came back she just dropped the check without asking if our food was better or concern over our bad experience. Upon reviewing our check we noticed that we received no discount for our outstanding wait, which I assumed we would not, but they had also charged us again for sides to come out with his steak, which we never asked for. I'm highly upset that not only were the staff completely unconcerned about our dining experience or needs, but that they had the audacity to charge us again for their mistakes. This was not okay, and I will never return to this restaurant. First impressions speak volumes, especially when service is mediocre, food is burnt, and management is complacent. Again thank you so much for charging us even more for your kitchens mistakes, and not returning for us to even point that out. Solid effort from the Longhorns...
Read moreI’m going to start this review off by saying that the service once seated was fantastic and very accommodating.
A group of 16 of us went out for my mother In-laws birthday and she decided that she wanted to go to Longhorns. My wife made a call a week prior to the dinner night and was informed that they do not take reservations and only did call ahead seating, which is fine no big deal. All of us had a decent travel time. Two of us had close to an hours travel and one had a 35 minute travel time. When we left our house at 4:45 we called and got put on the call ahead list for 14 (later changed to 16) at 6pm. When we arrived at 5:40 I checked us in and was told to expect a 30 minute wait time. Which is perfectly fine I understand a little fudge room 10 20 30 minutes is acceptable fudge room especially with a large group like ours. At approximately 6:30 I went into the restaurant and asked how much long to expect and I was told to expect 30 more minutes. Here’s where is started to have an issue. I asked to speak with a manger so that i could have an explanation as to why we were being asked to wait an hour past our 6pm call ahead time we gave them at 4:45. I was hoping to get an explanation but instead I got manager who felt it necessary to continually cut me off while I was trying to explain the situation to her. I repeatedly asked her if I was permitted to finish speaking and started to raise my voice. I explained to her that her system was broken and that there was no point in call ahead seating if this is the way she runs it. She informed me that she could not ask the other people to get up and leave and I told her of course not it’s not the customers fault I told her she should not do call ahead seating for large parties if you are unable to accommodate their requests. My group waited for another 15-20 minute before being seated. When we came inside to be seated we watched as to employees very slowly and very purposefully placed a menu and silverware set at each seat before allowing us to be seated. This was the end of our difficulty with this restaurant....
Long story short the food was good and the wait staff was great, but the manager was worthless incompetent and rude to her customers. I agree that I raised my voice and probably shouldn’t have but I do not appreciate being cut off while talking.
If you come here to eat I would suggest not bringing a big party and call ahead seating is pointless for a big party. If you have a party of say 14 and a table of 10 gets there (without call ahead) before you they will sit...
