Went today for dinner. No wait for our table which was awesome. Short wait just to get our drinks. After that it was all down hill from there. Until a totally different server stepped in anyways. If it wasn’t for the other server stepping up and stepping in we would not be going back to Red Robin on stringtown road ever again. Literally.
Short version of the events that happened…
Sonita WAS our server, yet again. This was the third strike! The third time in a row that she was our server and the third time being there with her as our server and ruining dinner for my family! The first time while waiting, kids got impatient and the youngest of the children that was with us grabbed the kiosk to play games to stay occupied. Sonita finally walked over to the table to get the drink order but grabbed the kiosk out of the child’s hands and set it on a different table. Then, proceeded to ask what we wanted to drink while smiling! That’s how the first situation started. The second time order was wrong, smiled and talk calmly, but might as well have been vocally disrespectful because the words and mannerism with everything that she said, the body language and all was completely unprofessional, disrespectful, rude, and not hospitable at all!! All with total no F given at all demean and smiling the entire time! The third incident, today, started approximately one hour ago. Pulled in, plenty of parking, walk to the podium, was sat as soon as we came in, no wait and everybody was nice. Everybody was friendly atmosphere was great. I’d say about 10 minutes later. Sonita walked to the table to finally get our drink order. They weren’t busy. There’s four or five servers and a food runner swept it under the rug. No big deal. Brought us complementary fries while we waited. Sonita was short, blunt and impatient when she took our order. My child didn’t even have time to put her order in and she was “OK. I’ll put it in” and started to walk away. I stopped her. Spoke up and said we weren’t done ordering. My child told her father what she wanted and he put her order in. While waiting on the food to come out, she was promptly kept up with refills timing wise. Everything was in a good appropriate timeframe. In the event of bringing my child a refill she had reached across the table to hand it to her and set it down on something The cup tipped over missed all of us splashed against the glass, went down the wall and onto the floor as she Proceeded to walk away! Five minutes later came back with a refill while smiling looked at me and said ... “Did it get on you mama?” I looked at her and as politely as I could told her, “I’m fine. My KID needs a towel!” Her response “I’ll clean it up when you guys are done eating cause I’m gonna have to mop anyways” left came back with a refill and slammed it on the table! Sonita slammed it hard enough to the point everything around us got quiet and my husband about stood up and yelled and cussed her out. He did not. He sat quietly and just gave a look and let me handle it. There was a different server behind us her name is Sara. Sara was there for the second visit and got there during the third visit. Sara promptly stepped in and stepped up and saved the day. Red Robin should give her a raise! Literally! If it wasn’t for Sara saving the day yet again! We would never be going back...
Read moreWas the worst experience I have had with Red Robin. I wouldn’t even give one stars. When we got there we were waiting. I’m in an electric wheelchair and there was really no place for me to sit to wait. Was rudely told that I was in everyone’s way. Finally got seated and ordered. Got my food which was a chicken salad. The lettuce looked like they just put a head of lettuce in there and topics over top without even cutting up the lettuce. Found a long piece of black hair in my salad and took forever to trace someone down to tell them and they acted like I put the hair in there. I have short hair so it was not mine. Took forever to get a new salad out was not told sorry or anything and was still charged the full amount for the salad. The salad didn’t even have much dressing on it. The waitress just kept saying she had the whole side to take care of we were not her only table but yet we asked for boxes and she got the table boxes without a problem but we had to keep asking different people for boxes and she finally had someone hold some drinks so she could get us boxes rudely. Than she said that we needed to send all the dirty dishes down to the end so she could take them away. She clapped when we left. Everyone that worked there were rude and acted like they did not like there job. I will not be going back and would not recommend them. Again if I could leave no stars I would. It was for my brothers birthday. They had time to do a birthday celebration for another table. They had fries if you wanted more fries just sitting under a heat lamp so if you asked form more fries you received them. My sister got a set and she said they were cold. I watched food sit up there for over 5 minutes before taking to tables. They would touch peoples buns in the food and than take them to the tables. They had a trash can right by the food that was just cooked and they had a broom and dustpan next to the trash can and they even used the broom and dustpan closed to the flood and dumped it in the trash right next to the food. Someone got the wrong order so the waitress brought it back and asked the one lady what to do with it and the lady said just sit it there and grab the correct plate. Nobody ate off the plate so when the light hits it it will be fine. They literally took it to another table. I thought I was going to get sick. She acted like we should eat and leave never mind it took for ever to get my salad. I was the last one to get done eating. Good luck if...
Read moreOur server, Sonita did well enough. She always had a smile. I ordered a specialty shake and it didn't come as it was supposed to. I wanted the shake because of the candy. Not only did it not taste as it should have, but they ran out of all the candy that was supposed to be covering it. Also, no cookies on the top. Instead of asking if I still wanted it, she brought it to me and Sat it down. I told her a few times that the reason I wanted it was for the candy and she commented, well, it will taste the same. I didn't want it. I didn't have a choice. I was forced to keep it. It tastes like a choc shake. If I wanted a choc shake, I would have ordered one. She immediately had some fries on the table, was pretty awesome, because my toddler was starving (not really but ugh... Toddlers.. lol) Ordering.. She asked what we wanted to drink, we told her. My daughter wanted a drink from under the endless refills. Our server told us that even though it was under endless refills, it was not actually endless. That if she wanted another, it would be another $5. If a drink is under the endless refills, it should be an endless refills. I commented this exact thing and she goes. I agree, but that is how it is. I commented, so the company is lying. She shrugged. Without taking my daughter's dad's drink order, she skipped straight to appetizers . He goes. Um, I would like a drink too. As we ordered his drink, she started to leave the table. We wanted appetizers. She came back and we ordered them. She came back in a short time with drinks, letting us know mine was done at the bar, which was expected. Very kind. Smiles. Ordering food I thought our sandwiches came with sides? We were charged for them. I knew it would be extra for one of my toppings, she informed me of it. I appreciated her for it. I added it anyway. So now we are up to $8 for a shake I didnt want and $3 for each side I thought came with the meal. I know the sides are endless, but I was scared to order anything more in case it came out different. She came back and checked on us once. I had not even had a chance to taste my food, I was feeding my toddler. My older kid was munching on her side. Once she got to her sandwich, it was so oily that she couldn't eat it. I ended up. Ringing it home and using a napkin to dry up the grease. My sandwich was amazing. I won't go back...
