Unfortunately, I have to give this hotel two stars due to the following experience. School was cancelled 4 days last week, leaving me with two 5 year olds that had too much energy and a 16 year old who needed a break! So last Friday, Feb 1st 2019, I booked a last minute stay through Priceline with one intention-- to get my kids and myself out of the house for the evening to swim. The hotel is nice, smelled clean, and was nicely updated. However, the pool water was too cold for the kiddos-- their little lips were blue! I brought this to the staff's attention and was told that the temperature was set at 82 and was assured that the pool heater was working. So, we just tried to make the best of it. During the stay there were no other guests swimming in the pool and one guest even popped her head in the door to ask if the water was warm, to which we replied not really. She then proceeded to say that they stay there frequently and that the water is always too cold and that she has brought it up to management several times, to which they tell her that it is heated and that everything is working fine. At one point, Pedro mentioned that the water had just been filled that day .... ding ding ding well there you have it the reason why the water was too cold to swim in. I cannot speak as to why the pool water is cold all the other times, but I highly suspect that the pool equipment isn't really working to its potential for whatever reason (I don't want to speculate on things that I do not know for a fact). The next day I spoke with the site manager who told me that it was not a spa or hot tub and that it was just a matter of an individual's tolerance to the water temperature and then he offered me a 15% discount. I asked him if he thought that was fair and then suggested 50% to which he unwillingly agreed to. Looking back, I would have rather just spent my money elsewhere (there are tons of great hotels in that area) for the fact alone that I was basically treated like I wanted something for free when speaking with the site manager. In the hospitality industry I would think that you would do what you need to do to ensure your guests leave satisfied, but apparently that is not super important to them. For us, swimming was the sole purpose of our visit so their unwillingness to consider that was not acceptable in my opinion. We'll probably...
Read moreTanisha is very unprofessional and rude. From the lobby, she loudly accused my husband of stealing when he was at the elevator after looking around at the store and coffee area.
She never asked him nicely and just immediately accused him, saying that he had to pay for the items in his hand. After my husband told her twice that the items in his hand were ours and that we brought them on our trip, she didn't even apologize before walking away. The items that were in his hand were not sold in the store.
After bringing the items to our room, my husband came back downstairs and asked for her name and an explanation. She gave an unsincere apology. After my husband accepted the apology, he wished them a good evening and walked towards the elevator. As he was walking back, Tanisha laughed and scoffed at him.
When he asked why she laughed, she said it wasn't that big of a deal and it's not that important. When my husband said that it was important to him and he didn't like to be treated that way/immediately accused of theft, she continued to act like it wasn't a real problem. She was rude throughout this whole conversation.
Thankfully, Mitch was extremely professional and kind. He listened to our concerns and apologized on behalf of the other staff.
The room was nice and clean. And...
Read moreWe stayed one night here and it was an excellent experience. The room was clean and beds were comfortable, the parking was simple and the check-in/check-out was simple. Our favorite part was the breakfast! Probably the best breakfast spread we've seen at a hotel offering free breakfast. Eggs, both scrambled and hard boiled, sausages and sausage gravy (for those that eat it), different kinds of Chobani yogurts, two waffle machines, one large/regular size waffles and one mini 4x waffles, 4 different types of cold cereal (Fruit Loops, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Flakes, and Honey Nut Cheerios), Nutri grain bars, apples, bananas, oranges, mini milk cartons, oatmeal packets, spreadable packets of peanut butter, jelly, cream cheese, and butter, bagels (everything, plain, cinnamon raisin) biscuits, juice machine with 3-4 different juices, and a full coffee station that's open all day. Special shout out to Sharon who arrives at 4am to prepare all of that (and is even still there hours later cleaning everything up). She does an amazing job making sure everything is always well stocked, clean, and fresh. Delicious hotel breakfast with a ton of great options thanks to Sharon, who is an...
