This is a wonderful spot to relax and get some food and beers. A little bit of a walk from the main downtown Jackson area means its usually a bit less crowded and has nearby parking. We ate here twice on our trip both times with some great (but not flawless) experiences. Our first night a member of my party got the bowl of chili and my god it may as well been a toilet bowl because the portion was insane, and while my toilet bowl analogy my sound unappetizing the taste was also delicious featuring some tender bison and bold jalapenos. I treated my tubby self to some smores, the flavor was spot on with them but I think they could have been cooked a bit longer as the graham cracker was still a bit cold / frozen. On our second visit we had finished a 14 mile hike in the Tetons and were looking to absolutely stuff our faces with multiple courses. I got a superb Bison burger with white cheddar and since I burned over 2,000 calories that day decided to add on the egg and bacon, I had to unhinge my jaw like a cobra to slide that burger down my gullet. Not satisfied with just one massive entrée I decided a 1lb of wings was also in order. The wings are jumbo, meaty, thick, and saucy, just how I like my women. They had a nice kick in the mouth spice that was different from what you get with most buffalo wings, I think they used a similar sauce in their chili. Another member of my party got the chili again this time opting for more calorically responsible size of a cup. We were considering getting desert but our waiter wasn't to be found for at least 20 minutes and by the time he did come around the food coma had already set in and the Glacier Pie was no longer going to fit into our stomachs. All the beer we had was good, the upstairs bar was filled with seats so it's not really ideal for ordering but the bartender was attentive to help us out when he saw us standing nearby. Would definitely come back to this place again if I'm in Jackson as I need to conquer the...
Read moreSnake River Brewing, established in 1994, is a local favorite and a gem in the town of Jackson, Wyoming. The founders Albert and Joni Upsher took a leap of faith in their journey from being an Anheuser Busch distributor to creating Wyoming's first brewpub, and it's clear they made a great decision.
The brewpub itself is an architectural delight. Housed in an old Coca-Cola distributor building, it boasts an industrial chic style that's both unpretentious and sophisticated. The exposed steel beams, ample natural light, and open brewing space are aesthetically pleasing and create a unique, welcoming environment. The wood-burning oven and brewing equipment serve as functional artworks, enhancing the overall ambiance of the place.
The curved mahogany bar and the meticulous attention to detail in the interior design speak volumes about the commitment to quality and workmanship that Snake River Brewing promises. The windows are beautiful, and the ceiling adds to the place's overall appeal.
But let's get to the important stuff: the food and the beer. Snake River Brewing has adopted the bold and commendable mission statement, “The world doesn’t need another beer, but a better beer!” They have taken this to heart, creating an impressive selection of craft beers that are both robust and nuanced in flavor.
And let's not forget the food. My personal favorite, the French Onion Soup, was an absolute delight that I found myself repeatedly returning for over a two-week period. Rich, flavorful, and hearty, this soup showcases the excellence of their kitchen. It's clear that the team behind Snake River Brewing takes pride in their offerings and cares deeply about the food's quality.
Moreover, the service at Snake River Brewing is worth mentioning. The staff is attentive, professional, and friendly, adding to the overall experience. It is a true neighborhood watering hole, where locals can gather, and tourists can get a...

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service I received at your establishment on May 8th at approximately 2150. This was intended to be a special occasion as it was my birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was far from celebratory. Upon our initial arrival, well before your stated closing time of 11:00 PM, we were denied entry at the main entrance, which was already locked. When I pointed out that your advertised closing time was 11:00 PM, we were begrudgingly allowed inside. However, the poor service did not end there. Shortly after being seated, another member of your staff attempted to ask us to leave, stating that the kitchen was closed. This was still before 10:00 PM, a full hour before your advertised closing time. Given the circumstances and the fact that it was my birthday, we decided to stay for a glass of wine each. We were then charged a total of $28 for these two glasses, which were served in what I considered to be inappropriate glassware for the price. To further compound our disappointment, as we were leaving the establishment at approximately 10:10 PM, we observed both members of staff who were on duty consuming alcoholic beverages. Not to mention they served Merlot instead of Cabernet Savignon which was not measured or poured in front of us but behind closed doors. This entire experience was unacceptable and significantly detracted from my birthday celebration. The inaccurate information regarding your closing time, the conflicting messages from your staff, the overpriced drinks served in inadequate glasses, and the unprofessional behavior of staff drinking on duty have left me with a very negative impression of Snake...
