My party of 3 booked a dinner show less than 24 hours before the show. One of our group members got sick a few hours before the show. In an abundance of caution for other vacationers and the staff we asked for a refund on at least the show, we understood that the meal would be harder and we were ok with that. The other two members were not sick at the time but felt that by being around the one that was sick it was not a risk they were willing to take to possibly infect others should it turn out to be COVID. It ended up that the group did in fact test positive for COVID. It is very sad to see that the establishment was more focused on greed than the safety of others. This turned out to be a $304.56 lesson that greed is still a dominant quality of this establishment and NOT the safety of others. When asked for at least a partial refund we were told that they could not do this because it was within the two week window of the performance. It did not matter that we literally booked them the night before the show and by lunch the next day were asking for a refund. The charge had not even fully gone through so this is something that could have been partially refunded. The group could have "saved" their money and went to the show regardless and would have certainly infected others but instead chose to stay in the hotel that day and leave the next day as people were sick and nobody wanted it on their conscience that they would ruin someone else's trip. Such a shame that this is how the company runs their business.
Reply to business owner
You are funny calling COVID a simple illness. If you actually took the time to read the review you would see that I was reviewing your company on their business practice of greed NOT the performance of the show. A review can be made on all aspects of a company. I am sorry you are offended that your greed has been exposed.
If you look at any of the negative comments you will see that the owner responds to most offering a discount if they are ever in the area again knowing most never will be. Why not just give a partial refund instead of...
Read moreFair warning act two of Big River is woke! I’m not sure what we expected, but man, it gets heavy. I rated this three stars because everything here seems 50% great 50% cringe. Food: Good quality, tiny portions lots of up selling opportunities. There’s a Wendy’s down the road that’ll still be open. Really nice manager there. Drink: Do NOT drink the red wine. To give you an idea of its quality, leave a kids expired grape juice box on your car dash board during summer for two months then drink. Ahhh tasty. Snacks: You know what they charge at the movie theater? Double it. Performance: okay, this is the real bright spot, this group of performers is amazing! The acting, the singing and the piano and guitar were world class. Frequently, “Broadway” is used as a comparison, well this was better than Broadway. Broadway actors have a tendency to over accentuate their characters, it’s not realistic. (Cats not included) These actors really sold it. They didn’t oversell. I was so taken in by their performance I felt like I was there, in the moment, watching it happen in 1800 something. Finally, the set was very high quality. You can tell some real money was put into the entire effort. Speaking of money, bring a bunch, because well, it’s Jackson Hole and it’s expensive. You knew that...

Guys believe me when I say that the Ballad of Cat Ballou is meant for YOU. An absolutely charming spectacle put on by an impassioned cast of people you’d wanna share a beer with. The Jackson Hole Playhouse drops all pretense of decorum you might associate with live theater and instead opts to bring you into their crazy cavalcade of song and dance, sometimes literally. In our show they grabbed a young boy no older than 10 and brought him up to be a part of the mania!
Do yourselves a favor and check out this show when you stop by Jackson, the front manager/pianist Joseph is super kind and accommodating. However there’s ONE big caveat to all this glaze I’m providing.
Skip the dinner, they’re going to offer you a “dinner and a show package” just skip the dinner and you’ll have a perfect night.
Now, not to say their food wasn’t good, it was just fine. The problem is that for the extra 20% gratuity they add to the experience you have to be one of the chosen few to sit inside. We unfortunately were not and were caught in the proverbial cuck chair of the dining experience by hearing the melodious musings of our soon-to-be cast while dining out on the street on the...
