Panda House — Restaurant in Jersey City

This place has good food. Just make sure you understand what you order. S.O. spent 24 dollars on 2 orders of General's Beef, I get home from work AFTER they close to eat this meal. After a few pieces I look at the food and notice there is no BEEF in the piece I was eating. I looked through a couple of other pieces to see it was mostly batter.

I go in the next day AFTER my morning classes to see if I could get a refund or anything. 95% of the food was still in the plates and I had the original receipt. I go in and the lady was saying they can't do anything because that's how the food comes.

I had to get my hands dirty and rip the pieces apart in front of her (thank goodness other customers were there to see) She then gives in. I ordered new food to make up for it, but it only came up to 17 dollars. I thought I could get 2 drinks which would come up to 3 dollars.

She tells me no because I got two free drinks last night. 17+3 is 20 which still does not come up to the 24 I spent on 2 plates of batter in sauce. She said if I wanted all my money back that that I should have called the night I got my food. Well if I just got home from classes and work what energy do I have left over to fight a closed door with NO ONE inside? 3 stars only because they know how to cook. I bet if I had a man with me I would have gotten the full 24. Work on your customer...

This is the only Chinese restaurant that I would go to whenever I ate Chinese food. However, the experience here with the lady with the glasses is always the same. She must be racist or hateful towards people that are not her own kind because it’s very apparent she speaks under her tongue in her own language right in front of you with a complete attitude because you asked for something and the order is completely wrong. I asked for a pinch extra garlic sauce and they completely turn it to soup. It’s almost out of spite almost as if you’re asking for too much yet you’re paying into that business. This restaurant is disgusting. The attitude is ridiculous, I spoke to the manager who assured me I can go back to the store and I’ll make my order right it’s not about the money I just wanna be able to eat my food I get to the store and that same lady says no she’s not going to do anything and that’s it so I ended up driving back there a second time I do not recommend this Chinese restaurant at all The staff here is disgusting. FOOD POISONING ALERT!!! I got a horrible food poisoning after eating the food from this place. I ordered beef with mixed vegetables and white rice, but they gave me fried rice. Actually I was surprised how fast it was for them to make my food this time because it usually takes around 15 minutes for orders to be done, and then I realized why. I had the same food from here one time and it was fine, but this time the sauce of the beef was just weird - it seemed slimy and didn’t look fresh. I had the food around 9pm, and it was pretty much the only thing I had all day. The next morning at 6am, I was woken up by massive stomachache. I had to sprint to the bathroom to throw up, and I saw the fried rice I ate. For the rest of the day, I had to stay in bed because I had a fever over 100 degrees. I was also experiencing fatigue, stomach cramps, and chills. After the whole day of terrible pain, I finally felt better after I woke up this morning. I am still experiencing stomach cramps from time to time, and still have no appetite to consume any food. Before this, I never had food poisoning because my stomach is pretty strong. The food I had from this place must be some leftover for who knows how many days. Gross. Never...
